always found the game more interesting than my phone. I guess most of these people probably play all day every day though. Ban phones when in a hand and don't let people watch movies while at table should be enough. In LA cardrooms some guys would have sound on while they watched a movie it was terribly obnoxious.

lmao if someone had sound watching a movie with non-headphones next to me, while im trying to play poker, they would last about 5 seconds before id remove it from them.

ive never yet witnessed such human ignorance, though im always open for some fun to deal with such a problem.

I've seen it several times:

"Tell me what rule I'm breaking"

id just turn on the most obnoxious ****ty dance beats, BLAST it max volume on my iphone speakers, and position them next to his ears til he turned off the movies sound due to not being able to hear it anyway.

eventually the floor will get called and both devices will be turned off

ive never seen music allowed to be played via speaker at a table, which is my defense i will use against a loud movie being played if questioned by the floor.

so in a sense, i will force a rule into existence. XD

I agree 100% and I don't like it either. However, it has become reality and it is unlikely to change anytime soon.

I see so many people just watching television on their phones that it blows my mind.
