For the Duhamel fold you have to take into account the structure: you can fold your way up the ladder, wait for shove spots; all the SitNGo stuff. He maybe thought the chance of being up against a straight or a set not worth the risk.
It was a tight fold.

at 27:23 in episode 15 jesse and sorel say that the players get a bonus of $2k per point... is this right? does anybody know what the buyin for this tournament is, because that would add up to a huge amount of money, unless i'm misunderstanding something

alright that makes more sense then, even so that means 40% of the prize pool goes to that bonus

It's chips they get at the final table.

They get 2k per point in cash. And 10k per point in chips at the final table

Im watching the FT right now on TV. Sexton commentating and WPT graphics makes it alot less exiting imo but some sick hands have gone down so far

Also, not keen on the idea that it's not Jesse May commentating the final table. I really enjoy his interaction with the pros.

JM says a lot of really silly things when talking about hands. I often wonder if he really is that bad or if he's just trying to prompt the pro who is with him to give his insight into the hand.

Jm is actually correct alot of times with his evaluation stop it bro, he also isn't just some boring monotonous commentator like the ones you probably enjoying listening to.

Pretty much done watching for the night, but I'm pretty curious, do any of the later episodes bring that hand back up to Duhamel? Does he claim to have misread his hand. Would be pretty shameful if they just decided to ignore because they didn't want to highlight the fact there was collusion caught on camera.

Was surprised to only see 2 posts about on here as well.

Really strange. It was straight up collusion. Not right at all.
collusion is when 2 or more people affect their play to collectively gain an advantage or to disadvantage others not involved in the collusion.

This is not collusion for many factual reasons before you even try to get inside Jonathan's head.

At very worst you could accuse Duhamel of soft playing, but I don't think it's the case. I would guess that he misread his hand.

i remember in a previous season some guy 4 bet or 5 bet QQ preflop and then folded..it prob has something to do with points or whatever.

also the commentators saying he will never snap fold...he might think about it then fold. well i'm sure he has thought about that situation a million times and already started to think about folding when he made the bet..so when the raise came he already knew. and why squirm around and let people know you folded a big hand...better to just look like you were making a move.

being that they were on tv it would be pretty idiotic to collude or slowplay. hope people stop even talking about that as a possibility.

plus it's not like 2 pair is even the nuts.

They undoubtedly have a piece of each other or swapped action...and that was the reason Duhamel folded.

Collusion plain and simple. But if biscuits wants to be an uber gross nit, I will appease him and call it 100% soft-playing.

He is just never folding top 2 pair for any other reason but to keep Seiver in. Don't even much I blame him. More so the people running the premier league need to be on top of things like that.

my guess is duhamel misread his hand as KQhh and didn't want to continue with just one pair oop.

95% soft-playing/collusion
4.5% misread his hand
0.5% he made a legitmate tight fold (LOL)

Note: The numbers used were not influenced by any potential bias of mine. We're looking at a 99% chance the above numbers are accurate and objective with a 1% chance they were pulled directly from my ass.

Wow i have been told haha. So going by your statement you think the pros he's talking to don't know what they're talking about because they disagree with what he says all the time.

^^ Yes cause they disagree with what he says, matter of fact how can they even disagree when jm hardly make a statement & try to pass it off as fact. He calls the action & his style is to bring up hypothesis & ask the pros what they think more often than not. There's a reason why you have a guy like JM & then a guy who's a top pro speaking on the hands, alot of the times the pros come in & there would be alot of silence. He's basically norman chad with more poker knowledge.

Only guy who really made him look bad in the booth was full flush & tbh he was being a diick more than anything else.

Fullflush is a dick, but Jesse May is the nuts. If they got rid of him then poker TV would become unwatchable. Compare Jesse May + pro with David Tuchman (who I like, but not on FT) + some Brit commentator on Million Dollar Cash Game season 4.
