Well, I don't think this fold is any good no matter what... they play over 300bb deep and he is in position. If the guy is aggro you play QQ cause it has his range crushed, if he is tight like Ferguson you play it because of sick implied odds and because ferguson doesn't like folding overpairs even in single raised pots.

Peter Jetten hasn't really impressed me one bit so far. He won money when he hit the flop, sure, but apart from that he plays ABC, I can't remember anything that stood out.

Ferguson works very hard to create a nitty table image that pisses off 2+2 TV forum regs so that he can make a move and fold out a better hand.

The way Jesus has been playing, I am not calling many of his 3-bets.

He also folded King high flush to Ivey on Million Dollar Cash Game, Ivey was done with the hand, Mike value bet and got check raised huge.

Moral of the story: When you fold %90 of your nut type hands, you will correctly fold QQ vs the biggest nit of poker, Ferguson, that holds AA - without trying to flop a set lol.
I think Matusow is, for better or worse, your typical old school live TAG, and to play that style well in decent games, you need handreading skills, which Matusow has.

FWIW, I think Doyle Brunson is similar.

He is a live pro with ~20 year experience obviously he has some sort of reading skills but if you think he has the handreading skills to succeed in decent games then:
After watching the links, you are incapable of deduction and/or biased.
If you posted that without watching any, then your handreading skill or decent game definitions are wrong due to lack of general poker experience/understanding.

The answer, at least 6 times an F-ing show
They mentioned that that hand was "last week" meaning that this week's PAD and the PAD week with the TT vs T7 hand were filmed back to back. So it was fresh on their mind.

I think it's well known that a week of PAD is shot in one day, and that a 2 'week' session requires two days. The references to yesterday, last week etc. is strictly for TV purposes to keep up the illusion. So yes I believe it was shot in two straight days without a break in between.

You are right but the TT vs T7 hand was not aired last week but many months ago. These episodes were all filmed back to back is the point.

Ahh now I see what you mean, I thought this week.
I am not sure. I'd have to check whether Phil wears UB gear in that older episode (in these episodes he does not, they are from a few days before the november 9 and by then he had left UB).
It could be, we all know this episode is ancient by now (nov 2010 so 9 months old), and it makes no sense to have a studio, film for a day and then leave it empty for a month before you film another one. It could well be that a whole year worth of episodes is filmed within a 2 week or one month timeframe)

I don't actually think that Matusow's game is going to be successful over time against top players. I think the game has actually passed players like him by.

I'm simply saying that Matusow comes out of an era where a lot of the successful live players played read-based TAG poker, and his skill set closely correlates with that.

By the way, I know that overbets are nuts or air, but I think Adams was trying too hard to make a hero call when he had second pair against Jetten's 3-barreled, overbet on the river, flopped nut straight.

I tend to agree but I also think that there was some live poker stuff going on in the hand and that Jetten's tanking caused some confusion. In any case, Jetten probably did something physically that gave BA the impression that he was weak and the overbet reinforced it. BA alluded to a hand where he made a bad read:

I hope that he posts his thoughts on calling down Jetten.

Yes, this was puzzling, especially since it was Ferguson's 2nd or 3rd open raise/3bet in a row (can't remember exactly)

Why do they pretend these shows are filmed over 2 weeks. We know they're not gonna sit there in the same clothes for 2 weeks. Same with the big game

Yeah, but if there's one guy you figure is more likely to have had three good hands than to have gotten frisky, it's Jesus. As we've seen, bad things can happen to people who think, "oh, he can't have the nuts EVERY time..."

Fair enough.
Just comes of very nitalicious. I'd call, pray that it comes Q,Q,A or something and bust Chris with A,K.
Though it's not my money, so...

It is weird how hard the players try to keep the illusion that they're playing for 1-2 weeks.
Whether they would or not adds nothing to the show, but at least twice a show someone will be like "When you had AK on Tuesday, or I mean Monday..."
It doesn't matter fellas.

What the hell do Hellmuth, Misrachi, and Matasow think they're gaining by continuously showing their non-called hands after the pot? Adams, Jetten and Ferguson have a good enough read and advantage over them, without continuos free information.
