HSP is definately not over, I can reassure you of that. I met one of the players last summer and he told me Season 5 was already taped.

More internet players? No offense to him but did you see Galfond play more than 2 hands when he was on? Not exactly entertaining IMO. And for the same reason, Esfendiari has to go.

love it when the internet donks who hardly ever play live cash games don't understand the point of running it multiple times. its good for the game, gets the action really going and alot of gambling happens. it also keeps the game running for a longer period of time since no one gets busted out on just one lucky/unlucky hand. we do it at some of the home games around here and it works out great b/c the better players still win long term over the night.

but who am i kidding? all you fools just want to watch someone go broke so that you can flame them with no respect to just how much better they really are then the majority of us. that's why the have the $$ and most whining here do not.....

Not really fair to generalize Galfond with other online players. Aba did well imo in season 3. Galfond was a major letdown (he probably had his reasons or whatever, but it wasn't good tv) I'm sure that most big online players will perform well in HSP.

Galfond is not an actor.

I like to see big pot two, but I don't think the should say that player cant run it more x. It creat more action and bigger pot becouse the one unluck Bad beat. also do you realy want to see J beat PA in that hand. I didn't

I'm not sure it's over, that just my opinion from what I see. But your statement is totally ridiculous, don't you think if season five were already taped and twenty or so players were involved we would have word of this. Not results, just that it had happened. Maybe all twenty poker players were sworn to a vow of silence because the production company doesn't want publicity, it's bad for a TV show. Why would you get the hopes of HSP fanatics up with your bullshed. Maybe you'd like to tell us the name of the mysterious player who told you this.

it's not already taped but I believe Kenny Tran said he was invited for season 5. and as far as poker tv there is really no comparison so I don't think its going anywhere.

ldo they cannot talk about this publicly. I will not mention the name of the player because I am not supposed to have this info in the first place. I have nothing to gain from making this statement.

I think anyone who reads your post will realize that HSP 5 has not been taped yet (if it ever does happen) and you have no idea of what your talking about.

I have watched almost every episode of every season in the last few months for some reason and here is what I would like to see:

Buy-in of 100k or 250k max. I think 250k and 100k min rebuys.

More fish. They need to have at least 2 fish at the table at all times. Some of the past fish have even been entertaining but they keep the game going.

More mixing of players. The earlier seasons it seemed like you regularly had places coming in and going out. This last year it seemed like a lot more of the same players the whole time. The 500k episode sucked as I think Gold is the only one who left.

No Jamie Gold. Even though he is a fish professional, I hate what he does to the game. Keep him away.

Limit the internet players to those with personalities or with gamble.

No running it more than once. I don't care if all these professional nits do this in the real highstakes games. It is lame to watch a 900k pot turn into a split. I just spent 10 minutes of my life watching a tie. Might as well not show the hand at all. I have a lot of respect for the guys that don't run it more than once ever. Poker is gambling, if you are not going to gamble stop playing.

Also be honest with the audience. Half the players are staked by someone else and not playing with their own money. So stop overblowing that aspect of it. When you can get Mike Matusow to stay for 4k, you know something is wrong. You don't have to point out who is playing with their own money, just stop acting like all these people have their own money at stake.

I would add that maybe limiting online players is not the right move, just make sure they don't suck like Galfond. As others noted, Aba did fine on the show.
