People hating on Laak now? I remember there was a thread that asked if he was the greatest No limit hold em player ever here lol.
I like him, but he's tight with the impression of being loose.
As for Daniel he's not as good as the others but he's a good guy for TV he knows he has a great life and doesn't take everything so seriously so he plays for ****s and giggles.

thats what happens when pokerstars pays you millions

Exactly, he is one of the few that you could never really question if he is "busto" or not and just having the time of his life.
Tony G is the same way imo though I don't always enjoy the way he would bully people at the table.
Though I will say it can be pretty annoying how Daniel will talk to himself on the river for a good long time and then call with 3rd pair or whatever..lol

same i dont like Tony G personality at all. and he doesnt even play for money, he started pokernews.com(i think or some other website like that) and made tons of money off that. thats where he gets his income from
This thread is old but regardless...90% of the people talking **** would probably sit next to DNegs in a live game, and suck his dick when they realize he's actually pretty down to earth. Then they'd get their asses kicked when they realize he's one of the most improved players over the years that gets televised. It's pretty impressive to have that work ethic when you are loaded and set for life, have some respect- the guys got passion.
Talk **** if you want it's just an opinion, but i'll still take a shot right now for the kid.
He obviously wasn´t the worst player on High Stakes poker, but my god did he play terrible at times. Daniel´s play in seasons 1 and 2 has to be the very definition of how not to play no limit holdem. I only just rewatched some of the stuff and it made me cringe. Everybody talks about him making many horrible river calls, but I feel like calling off 20 % of effective stacks pre vs the biggest nit´s obv aa/kk just to hit that magic set is actually worse.
As an aside, I did get a good lol when Fred Chamanara (?) went busto and he made a remark along the lines "those are the best in the world, I only play this for a challenge".

Yep and your opinion is wrong!!! just my opinion off-course.
He's not the worst player on the show. But if u changed the name of the show to The Biggest Loser then he would definitely fit that description. Fwiw Farha played pretty bad as well.
I never understand you. Every time Daniel's name is brought up, you roll out this incident in one way or another.
The video you now use actually argues against your point. The whole 'a little more' is the key phrase that is forgotten in the first bit of text and then deflected later with the back and up red herring.
The intention was clear to most people. Deeb was the one being an arse.
I know you're not going to change your stance on this because you've been ranting about it for 2 years on here now, but I'm going to say it anyway.
I'm watching HSP right now, Durr was a beast in season 4, he ran everybody over, then towards the end of season 4 and into season 5 people were not letting his bluffs get through as often.
The one thing that stands out to me is how poorly Negreanau played. I just looked it up and he is by far the all-time biggest loser. Netting -2.1 mil
I feel sad for him. i used to consider him a very good player with great reads and reasonning.
dont know what happened. me becoming better or him becoming worse.
Just saw a screenshot of this post in the "KidPoker" documentary. Typos and all.
