Ok I actually did run it and I got something different than posted above... 22 seems to be 49%. Is my calculator wrong?

this is overall all AKs v all 22.

when you split it out to whether one of the 2's has the same suit as the suited AK or not, it sways it one way or the other.

Yup, was just about to post that as a follow up. One extra flush out when we already have the FD, even though it might also be his boat/quads out, is enough to tip the scales.

AK is a better hand than 22. Now you can say you have been told twice.

The AK vs 22 stats are for AIPF. If not AIPF, the AK is distinctly better because 22 usually has to muck to any pressure. A lot of people fold 22 in EP. No one folds AK in EP.

I accidentally on purpose put a guy on tilt,,, Final table,, after being seated,, guy to my left collects the antes from me and the 2 and 4 seat. He throws them into the dealer,,,I wait till he does it again and I say " Oh you are one of those guys" he gets all flabbergasted and starts asking the dealer if its ok and blah blah blah. I tell him don't touch my chips. He is on tilt and busts out within 3 hands on the bubble after he doesnt put in bubble money. So sad...NOT.

Wow. Clearly he was on tilt, he probably shoved AK vs 22 and thought he had a chance

$3/6 FLHE live

late thursday night, at a 7 handed table

Dude on my right buys into game for ~$80. Limps everything. He got frustrated when he bet out two streets when his J5o flopped top pair, and then got raised on the river and lost.

He busts after about an hour and says "I knew I shouldn't have bought into a short game".

From tonight:

Floor gets called by Seat 3 because seat 5 won't stack his chips. Floor tells seat 5 to stack his chips. Seat 5 doesn't want to stack his chips because he's drunk. Seat 6 loudly proclaims "I've played all over the world and this is the only poker room that makes you stack your chips". So he's told that chips must be stacked because all players are entitled to be able to look over at a another player's stacks to ascertain the amount that the player has in play. He responds with "that's stupid, you don't need to know how much anyone is playing, just play your hand".

A few hands later he is on the button.. he's not paying attention (earphones in his ears) and as the action gets to him the dealer repeats that there is a straddle.. he throws out a single chip $2 chip. The dealer repeats that there is a straddle, so he says "oh, I'm all in". The dealer tells him no, his only action is to call the straddle. He insists upon floor being called and repeats "I've played all over the world and this is the only room that won't let me raise after I called -- the action changed because I thought it was only $2 and it was a $5 straddle".

He busted out a few hands later and then went to another table.. he said we had too many rules and we didn't know anything because we "never played poker anywhere else". Hahaha.

Classic; I've had it up to here with your "rules!" guy.

Similarly, no matter which room I play in, some smart ass who has played "all over the world" think's *that* room is the ****tiest, and has to let everyone know. So why you playing here, dumbass?

I wouldn't fold it, but I'd let the player take his bet back, regardless of whatever anyone at the table, including the dealer said. If the dealer refuses to let the bet come back, I'll give the player back his last bet after the hand is over and I'm awarded the pot.

I can't remember the exact circumstances of how this situation happened, but I distinctly remember it happening years ago.

First post!

A couple months ago I was playing 1/2nl holdem on a Saturday night, and this young girl sits down to play. She was dressed for a night out, she knew the game rules but obviously hadn't played much before.

Her 3rd hand she raised UTG to $8 and got 5 callers including the button and both blinds. Flop is T93x and she leads for $10. Everyone folds except the button. Turn comes 8x, she bets $25 and the button calls. River comes another 9. Girl checks and the button checks behind while saying he got lucky. Girl shows KK and button shows J9.

The girl angrily throws her cards in the muck and says 'how can you call the turn?!'. The button says he had an OESD and the bet was only $25, to which the girl replies 'I don't know where you come from, but where I come from $25 is a LOT of money'.
