I read the whole thread from top to bottom last night, it's awsome. Comments like

Shouldn't the other guy be posting this
totally cracked me up. Anyway, it's not really absurd poker thinking, but it's a semi-nice anekdote about my first ever poker experience in a REAL Casino (whooyaaa) I'd like to contribute.
I heard they were having 10 euro, 10-handed NLHE S&G's at the Holland Casino in Amsterdam. I had just been playing $5 tourneys online so this really was within my buy-in range. Anyway I showed up way too late and having already paid the 5 euro entry fee there was only 1 more S&G starting which was already filled up. But the floor manager told me there might be a seat available so just "show up at the table when they are starting" she told me.
And so I did and yes there was 1 seat available, but unfortunately there were 9 other guys who wanted the seat. The floor manager took 10 cards (9 blacks and 1 red) and said: "whoever draws the red card gets the seat." I totally pushed the line and drew first and yes: I got the red one, sat down and said to the table: "Thats a good start."
1 Hand in particular I remember. On my Big Blind a guy in EP who had basically been annoying me all the time, because he was just calling calling and folding and basically just giving all his chips to the guy to his immediate left, the only other decent poker player at the table who ended up getting 2nd. Anyway this guy was fiddling around with his last 500 chip and seemed like he had a very hard decision. So I told him (blinds were already 100 or something): "Why don't you just move all-in?" And he said: "Why? Do you want me to go all-in?" I said: "I don't know, I haven't seen my cards yet." At that point I had convinced him, so he said: "Alright," and threw his last chip in the middle. Everyone folded to me and I looked down at my hole cards: A
Q
"Ok I call." And I busted the guy who had KJo. Of course nobody believed I hand't looked at my cards, but I really didn't. Anyway I went on to win my first live tourney ever, taking down an astonishing 50 euro. After that I wandered around the casino a bit (I had never been in a casino before), looking at the degenerate gamblers, but they kinda made me sick so I left.
