Was wondering on everyone’s point of view about it thank you On the flop, Player A bets 120. Player B goes all in for 140. Player C declares raise and asks the dealer what the minimum is that he can make it. A: 240 B: 260 C: 280

Some other places will also say you must double the previous bet, making it \$280. However, most casinos will say you must raise by another \$120, so the min raise will usually be \$260.

In RRoP and in most room's rulesets, in NL you have to raise the current action (\$140) by the last legal bet or raise amount (120), so a min raise is to 260. Ignoring the action-only amount (so raise to 240) or doubling the last bet (to 280) are sometimes the room rules, but usually are just mistakes made by novice dealers or floors who are mis-applying a shortcut they have heard about, or confusing the rule on raises with the rule on multiple all-ins which re-open action. Limit follows a different set of rules where the next player to raise "completes" the previous all-in if it's less than half the required raise amount, but it seems fairly clear you're asking about NL. Too many "Gotcha" moments when someone tries to call and puts out 50% or more of the minimum raise and therefore have to raise, pissing everyone at the table off.

For some reason many otherwise solid dealers and floors can't seem to get their head around this one and come up with all sorts of weird numbers so I wouldn't be surprised to hear something different. I've yet to see an actual rule set that would lead to a different answer but it's possible they exist

I've seen both EPT tournament and some HSP cash (Dwan v Ivey) from yesteryear that played by these rules. The others have nailed it, especially the differences between Limit and NL. GL
