It does annoy me when newbs count the chips out slowly when they could've easily let the dealer do it. Ie, bet is 80, newb says call, and takes 15 seconds to count out 80 before sliding it in. I'll often say something (as friendly as possible) like "if you say call and just push some chips in, the dealer will do the counting for you, they're good at that stuff."
I know of a 5-10 spewtard/tricky player who does this have been playing with this guy for 10 years.. so yes good for game but no not always recs and noobs.

I do this but (usually) only when my holding is unexpected and the dealer does not identify it as the winner quickly enough (i.e. like rightnowasap). Yeah, I probably do it too quickly.

When I'm in a hand and the mouthbreather next to me, who insists he knows me (which I know for a fact I have never seen), won't stop talking about the tournament he was in last week and how he bubbled it, but should have won. Listen pal, do you not see I'm involved in a hand right now? I'm not interested in answering your "what would you do?" questions while I'm facing a check raise on the GD river!

I have SO MANY live play pet peeves. One of them is when someone deals with the waitress instead of acting on their hand. Look at your damn cards first, I promise you that the waitress will wait. The word is in her job title!!

I can't believe some of these I'm reading. Things about new players being slow or unfamiliar with the rules are ridiculous peeves to have. You should be delighted to have these people on your table, be friendly and try and help them out and give them a bit of confidence. Sighing loudly and shooting them dirty looks is not good for he game.

My main peeve is players who are always on their phone/tablet and have to be prompted by the dealer for every action. I just want to rip it out of their hand and frisbee it across the room.

******s that count out bets using the smallest chips they have (count out a 50 bet using 5s instead of two 25s), count out 15 using 1s instead of three 5s. What the **** are they doing.

Also when people bet a big amount using all red chips, even though they have green. That's the worst. Slows the game down.

Maybe it's just me, but if we are all in and heads up.....flip your cards over.

I'd like to know what I need/need to dodge.

yeah well I might not be that proud of what I called with due to having to make the call.. last night I got involved in a hand that basically forced me to call a bet preflop of $30 because of all the action before me which made the pot $150ish. If I ended up smashing the flop (which is the only way I would have gotten to showdown/ai) I'm not showing in case I'm beat and thus giving away information that I'm capable of calling light if/when the situation presents itself.

I can't tell you how many times I've been a half second away from reaching over and mucking a players cards when action is on him but he's paying attention to the phone or worse watching some ****ing tv show on his ipad. Specially when he's already put chips in the pot.

If I could do this without getting punched/kicked out I bet the local populace would learn to pay attention when they're in a hand eventually. But probably not.

Then you should play only tournaments. In a cash game the rule is I don't have to flip and I usually don't unless I make the nuts.

Guy raises all in almost every hand, he does this every time he's at my table. Eventually I call him with junk just to gamble a little bit. My hand ends up winning and he gets pissed. For the duration of my time at the table he keeps bringing it up. He completely forgets the hand where I had AK and he got lucky, how convenient. Like, just let it go it made being at the table so obnoxious.

When someone hits their Flush on the river to beat your set and says you should have bet bigger after you bet a +pot size bet on the turn and they call with a 8 high flush draw thinking they made the right move

Could be playing mindgames to keep people in the pot...it never ceases to amaze me how many times in places where $100 bills play that people would fold to a hundred dollar bill instead of a stack of twenty reds. At low stakes, some people see green in the pot and things just got real...

There's definitely some layers of psychology in terms of which chips you choose to bet.

The guy who plays a crap hand against a significant preflop raise with a crap hand, wins, and then says something like 'I had a feeling it was going to hit', or 'Small\Big Blind special(usually muttered after calling a 4x raise with T4o)'

Look, I know I want those guys to make those bad decisions. Buit after I just got knocked out of a tournament because you called with pure crap to my pocket pair, and then spiked two pair to my over pair, I really don't want to hear you justify your odd play. Yes, I know getting upset about it is a leak, but it still annoys me.

"When a guy tries to show one card at showdown and doesn't want to reveal his weak-azz kicker"

I had a guy do the following:

I had KJ, and the flop and turn missed me. The flop was 2 x x. I think I might have had a draw or something, but I don't remember. The turn misses me, and the river is an ace. I decide to bluff at it by making a big bet, and the guy calls. I tell him "you won" and flip over my KJ. He flips over just one card, a deuce. I tell him to flip over the other card, and it's an ace.

The idiot wanted me to believe he hero-called me with a pair of deuces, when he really had 2 pair. He would have never called my bluff if the ace didn't come on the river.

People at the casino I go to play like this all the time. I'll raise with AK and get 5 callers the flop will come KJ4 and someone will have J4.

I do this. I like to get rid of my small chips and hold on to my bigger chips. That way I can count my chips easier if I want to know my stack size.

The painful strategy (and rules) talk from "experts" who feel the need to prove how much they know to the whole table (it's usually at least 3 or 4 people at a full ring low stakes table). it's a surefire way to tell that they are just a really bad reg.

Why? Poker is literally the biggest cross-section of the dregs of society of mean, nasty scumbags that you will ever encounter. Worst cross-section of society you could possibly make.
