That's bad for the players too. If you're at the end of a 6-string, every dealer that comes to your table is going to be exhausted, waiting for the push to come so they can finally relax, go pee, and get something to drink.

I come back from getting a bite to eat and there's a coffee cup in the cup holder in front of my seat. I asked is this somebody's and the guy to my left say "oh yeah it was mine but it's empty you can throw it out". I sat, removed the cup and put it in front of him. Sorry buddy but janitor ain't in my job description.

Smile and make sure your chips are in stacks that's easy for the player to identify. I'll make sure my drink isnt blocking their view.

At showdown, the guy that loses and just sits there staring at his cards. You lost, the good news is you have a chance to win another hand as soon as you throw your cards in the muck.

The guy that wins without a showdown, stares at his cards before putting them in the muck. You won, put a chip on it, stack your chips and move on.

So basically anything that slows down my possible win rate. I don't mind walkers, most people live seem to haave trouble to adjust to short handed. Those walkers are usually some of the worst players in my opinion. Have fun on slots or roulette, I'm cheering you on. Bring hand sanitizer, and try to shower off the overall filth of poker rooms (physical/verbal) when you get home.

In all fairness, you're likely obscuring your chips. Lots of players do that unintentionally.

This is a fair point, and one I'm probably guilty of a bit of the time. (although I do try and keep them in stacks of 20 etc)

However I'm referring to a specific, but small, subset of aggressive players who will tank for a while with every hand after you open. Keeping in mind lol-sample size etc. Its not against the rules, but still has the air of being a bit of a dickhead to me.

I've always felt that If you want to play with action players, you want to play with drama queens. Players who tank because it makes them the center of attention, or because they think it's cool are generally pretty bad. Players who are legitimately tanking are giving out information. Win/win.

As a dealer its players checking in an abnormal way.

They might be a player who will give you a nod 10 times in a row. Then you'll be watching their face waiting for them to nod and they will use their pinky finger to check while youre staring at there face for 30 seconds

Basically if you don't check by knocking the table or saying the word check youre an idiot in my book

I think I know the guys you are talking about. Making a big deal about stack size is part of their thirteen step hollywooding before they lay down their hand after 3 minutes.

The guys who constantly gesture for you to raise your hands so they can glance at your stack size and estimate it in a second, then act almost immediately...yeah, those guys are fine.

The guy that claims he's never gone in on tilt in his life, who coincidently is the same guy who asks for a wash and has been complaining about not having "got a hand all day" who immediately scoops the next pot.

People that ask for a wash when we are using an automatic shuffler and two decks. The dealer always agrees, washes the red deck, sticks it in the auto shuffler, then deals from the blue deck. Dumb.

Unfortunately this was me way back in the day. I definitely had some Phil Hellmuth esque entitlement issues at the table when I was younger. I guess subconsciously I still feel the need to bemoan some particularly brutal spots when they arise, but now that I'm a bit older and calmer it usually amounts to nothing more than a half hearted chuckle and something to the effect of "that's how I run, nice hand sir".

It drives me nuts when players at 2/5 raise to $17, $22, $27....any number using a non increment of five. It slows down the game because the dealer has to make change.

And the players who, at showdown, refuse to show their cards and the dance back and forth....just turn over your ****ing cards!

...
Not sure exactly where you play but this generally isn't allowed in the Vegas rooms. The only time that amounts not in increments of 5 usually play are when all in.

You're right, it's not and that's where I learned to play. But now I'm on the east coast, it's allowed, and idiots think it's cute to do it.

People with headphones.

I sat down at a table earlier today and about 6 of the 9 players were wearing headphones. I stayed for about 30 min, the table was terrible, and got a table change to a table where 0 people had headphones, were talking, game was much better and more fun.

Whenever you get the moron at the table who every hand wants to let everyone know they would have won that hand with their 2 6 off. Every single hand, then sometimes when seated next to them they'll start showing you their cards...

Right, those posts by Living Orphan went almost but not quite over the line of inappropriateness, but were strangely interesting and well done.

This type of example has been posted multiple times, yet I find it 100% valid every time I read it. I hate this player.
