I don't mind people who take extended breaks or lock up a seat when they're not coming back. It lets me play short(er) handed where I think I have a bigger advantage.

The one that gets me the most though is people who berate other players for stupid plays. Please guys I want that idiot to make that call every day.

It's not that annoying when you are at the table, but when you are waiting for a seat it's super annoying.

I love(not) the people who win a decent sized pot and get up to go tell their buddies and come back ten minutes later. It's pretty comical how live players act sometimes. ZOMG I just doubled my shortstack let me go walk around the room and tell people. Makes a lot of sense to me lol.

Pretty sure I would rather see some more hands if it was me...

People who get offended by what I am wearing. My sunglasses are made to be worn inside. I wear them for a different reason. Figure it out.
You were in your late teens, maybe early 20's in 2003, started watching televised ESPN WSOP episodes, saw big time pros doing it, decided it was cool, and then stuck with it at the tables because you can tell people on Internet forums that it protects you from giving off huge tells despite the fact that these come into play about once a month?

Yep, got it figured out.

I find the thread a bit strange as well since there have been about 700 similar such threads over the course of time, do we really need to go over this stuff again? We're all aware that a lot of live players are slimy human beings who do dumb things

1. Chronic seat-switchers who then can't believe it when somebody in their old seat wins a big hand.
2. People who ask for set-ups every damn hour.
3. As mentioned above, people who talk strategy at the table, unless of course they are talking about bad strategy as if it is good.

I see Nos. 1 & 2 seemingly every night.

People who say "how could you call that?" when they get their AA called by A9 and end up losing to trip 9s. Don't you want that call every time?

People who show two huge bluffs in 5 minutes, then act stunned and berate the other player when two minutes later they shove with air and get called by third pair. Isn't the point of showing the bluffs to get them to call you later? Oh, but you forgot to wait for a hand to do it again?

I hate the people who berate a fish for calling on a draw and getting there but when they do it they just explain how good of a play they made.

If you hate this, don't come to Korea bro. Standard raise here is 10x and you're likely to get 3-6 callers every time. 4x is functionally the same as a limp.

TBH there's not much that annoys me at the table. If it's done by a fish or otherwise recreational player, I'll let them do just about anything short of leaning over and licking me and it won't phase me.

So, just about the only thing that tilts me is when I see otherwise good regs talking trash, shooting angles, hiding in their headphones, or anything else that's going to cause a fish to be put off. When you play live, you gotta sell it. If you want a guy to stick around, make him happy to be there. Table atmosphere and social engagement goes a long way in getting a guy to stay longer or reload more.

Although, it does warm my heart a little when I look over at a table with seven grinders with headphones in, all trying to scrape out 2bb/hr while the table next to them is full of "annoying" drunks happily making sure anyone paying attention is pulling in $100/hr at 1/2.

I hate sitting next to people that spit in your face every time they say something. Usually they are really talkative even when you ignore them. I hate their saliva landing anywhere on my face or my arms. It's ****ing SICK!!!!!

Raising light on the button, old nit calls from the BB.

Flop is K 8 2

I c-bet, old nit folds and says "Your Ace-King is good", other old nits nod in approval, and old nit thinks he can read all hands now.

Taping the fish tank. By this I mean berating a fish for making a fish play. All it does is make them play better or leave.

I love when a fish has a stack because I earn more when I take them to value town.

Yeah the dude who sits next to me, spreads his legs wide so his leg is in front of my chair and then leg bounces the whole time.

I thought about stabbing him in the leg w/ my pocket knife but he was a huge fish so I wanted him to lose his chips first.

At any decent 1/2 game 4X is a pot builder that you expect to be called in 4 spots.

Played a couple times at a casino for the first time in a couple years this week.

1) How often the dealers screwed up. Half the dealers were excellent. Half of them were horrendous. Didn't know who had what, mucked winning hands, started shipping pots to the wrong player, dealing one card to a person, etc.

2) I know this is silly, but it annoys me that people don't flip their cards over when All-In. No one seems to do it.

3) Smelly people. Dude sat down next to me and it smelled like he had been brushing his teeth with cigarette butts and soaping up in diarrhea. I have never smelled something so foul. Put in a transfer request immediately.

4) The buddies at the table who don't go after each other. They'll bet hard against everyone else at the table trying to get every buck possible, but when he and his buddy(ies) are going against each other "let's just check it out."

5) The broke fish who says to hold his seat but never comes back. Also, when two guys have already stepped away and a third and sometimes a fourth gets up to go have a smoke at the same exact time.

Totally agree but I don't play very much and don't know many of the people or dealers so I just sit there in silence.

Players that hit and run no limit games are pretty bad. Secondly, those that tell stories, claiming they are pro and play no limit for a living, but really (they are fish) tick me off the most

Yeah, it's so -EV to have someone who not only reads your hands wrong and folds when you bet with air, but then says something that leads the rest of the table to believe the same thing.

That would really chap me too. I hope you respond by showing your cards, proving how good a play you made and how wrong he was.
