Pet peeves playing.

-"Pot splasher". You know even if you count them out before you splash them onto the felt the dealer is still going to have to stack them back up and count them right? I keel you

-"Card Corral guy". If you have a hand let it breathe so everyone can see that you have it. If you get "Attention Defecit Disorder guy" in seat 1 to act OOT again I keel you

-"Daniel Negreanu wannabe". replay the entire hand out loud so everyone can hear how you came to your miraculous conclusion that you think your opponent has XX before you fold. You're wrong and wasting everyones time, shut up.

#1 Pet Peeve
-"Bad beat story guy". "Oh that reminds me of the time i had Aces..." shut up! You make me want to be "blarring headphones guy".

Not exactly a peeve, but it makes me LOL. People that misplay a hand horribly but will then change a bunch of detail to make it into a bad beat story

What they say: I flopped a set and this guy rivered a gutshot on me.

What really happened: They flopped a set, checked the flop, bet 1/5th pot on turn, villian calls with oesd and gets there. "hero" then ships the river for 3x pot, gets snapped.

When people do not know its on them and sit there staring into space like idiots with the whole table and the dealer looking at them but when you say hey man its on you they take offense. This is worse when it happens consistently we only get 30ish hands and hour and they make it slower

My biggest pet peeve with live poker is when a girl starts flirting with you when you are trying to play your game. Okay I get it, I'm a hot guy, but it's distracting when I'm trying to play my game while some chick fish is sitting there half-playing half- giving you googly eyes and trying to start up conversation. I think like '**** off bitch i'm trying to play here.' But of course I don't say it, sigh.

I hate it when after tabling my hand the winner of the hand says "I knew you had a flush draw" or "I knew you had a set" or "I knew you had this - I knew you had that"
no no no. you didn't KNOW anything. I could have held anything from top pair to total air. you are just trying to look like a genius. stfu ur a fish.

- players to your left getting pissed because you are raising the button or cut-off regularly
- reactions to the flop+ from players who folded while others are still in the hand
- bad beat stories at the table
- any story involving AA being cracked
- the super dull table with 4+ guys wearing headphones and no one says a word for over an hour
- players giving away money or being SUPER nice to any semi-hot+ girl at the table
- the guy next to you who constantly is trying to show you his cards in the middle of the hand and seek your advice / approval (after you folded)
- the guy next to you that talks quietly about a player 2 feet away from you like they cannot hear him, expecting you to chime in and bash the guy

#1 by far is when someone makes a comment or berates a player for the way they played the hand. questioning their logic, telling them how stupid the play was, etc. just sooooo bad for the game.

guy to my immediate left is talking to guy to his left about his card protector

far guy: want to see it?
near guy: I shouldn't touch it, I have a cold

Uhh you're touching the cards and chips... what are you doing here...

I ended up getting a table change asap, please stay at home sick people!

when a whale with a 95% VPIP berates you for not playing 53o+

and then proceeds to ask you in all seriousness: "why are you even here?"

lololol

People who talk about poker like they're joe stapleton (without the hilariousness obv) and quite obvs have no idea what they're talking about. My local pub is full of them

I haven't seen this one mentioned. I hate it when players use the whole food and drink tray and won't tidy it up, but when the waitress asks to throw the trash away, the say they'll get it themselves later.

This is one of mine too. They've been stone faced quiet for hours then they scoop a big pot and all of a sudden want to chat everyone up and almost always have some sh***y grin on their face while they are stacking their chips.

Anytime I call someone on the river and without showing their hand they say "If you have the Ace, you're good". I motion to their cards to gently tell them to table their hand since I called their bet only to have said player sit there like a dumbass.

I then remind them verbally that I called their bet only to hear "I can't beat your Ace...".

OK, let me be more direct - SHOW YOUR DAMN HAND.

- Tournament all-in, both players staring each other down waiting for the other to flip over their hand first when its time to expose cards. Facepalm worthy.

- A betting a significant amount, B going all-in for what is visually, clearly not much more, then A staring at the chips, giving it a couple seconds, then asking "How much is that?", (ex. A bets $65, B is all-in for $85), then spending a couple more seconds thinking about calling. You're committed, just stick the chips in or say call already.

- Two players bad-mouthing/discussing (usually one and the same) the play of a third person at a table, as if they weren't there, and loud enough to where they can hear it. Irks the **** out of me.

lol seriously and when they just flip one over and take forever to flip the other and the dealer has to say I need to see both cards irks me

I hate when a raise very obviously has someone covered, but they ask the bet to be counted

I understand this, but this move can be used to give a little information.

Of course, it is still completely insanely annoying when the player asking for the count is a huge donk, and wouldn't be able to garner anything from said information anyway.

Especially when they have gunk all packed up under them. Good gawd.

Some Aria regs in here may know I'm about to mention. The last two times I was at Aria there was this nasty guy playing PLO. He always wore an old army type jacket and had his hippy friend sitting behind him who always wore a kilt. The guy playing had the most nasty and funky uncut nails I have seen on a poker table. I washed my hands very frequently when I played.

there are lots of them. I am typically a nice guy but Live poker just has a ton of annoyances.

-when people go to eat dinner for three hours, especially three or more people.
-when people don't stop talking and say things that are awkward or way too personal
-when people bad beat you for a big pot and have to say some comment. Like a guy cracked my aces once with 34 off and after he goes "I had nutcrackers".

Or dealers who don't cut their fingernails.

Was playing a while back and a dealers nail actually took a small chunk of skin out of my thumb...was pretty disgusted

I was playing a stud tournament at the Golden Nugget and they had a dealer whose nails were so long that she couldn't pick up the chips or the cards. Picture using chopsticks to grab chips one at a time, or using a clam-shell digger to pick up the discards...

when someone farts an egg bomb. This one usually gets to me..

other than that..

The pressure I feel from the dealers if I don't tip after winning a small pot on the flop.
