Chicago has Horseshoe, which is really in Hammond, Indiana, and Rivers and/or Grand Victoria on the West Side near O'Hare. While my choice to start would be Rivers, all are said to go through Dealers like water and I don't play at either enough to know the scoop too much. There are also a couple of outlier casinos as well as some Charity Room presence where you could probably be very useful as both a Dealer and a Floor (even with zero experience).

There's also the probability that Bally's will have poker once they move into their permanent site.

If you want to consider Milwaukee, then Poto has posted the Poker Room Manager position, which means the reopening of their Room can't be too far away.

There's also the I-94 possibilities of Detroit (MGM), Firekeepers (Battle Creek), Gun Lake (N of Kalamazoo) and Four Winds (South Bend, IN) .. as well as Cleveland (Jack) or Toledo, OH (Hollywood).

If you are truly set on Chicago, then Rivers is where you need to start IMO with an eye on Bally's. GL

They are building a new casino downtown. And there’s tons of private games.
