The problem with leaving a casino when they want to talk with you is that whatever ban they were about to impose won't start until you go back in. So if you get a 24 hour ban and then come back 3 weeks later, your 24 hour ban starts when you arrive.... Seriously.
Also, given that there were witnesses at the time and the other guy was flat out insane and that you could argue that you were assaulted first and were only defending yourself (a point that is arguable I know) it would have been much better to have stayed and taken your medicine.
Anyway, best of luck to you.
Sure the ban won’t start until you go back in, but does it really matter that much? The only thing we know is this place gives lifetime bans; we don’t even know if they ban anyone for a year or for 24 hours.
We don’t even know if security wanted to talk. A likely reason to approach the OP is they wanted to ban him for life and had all the information they needed. Or maybe they talk, and they still ban him for life because he looks pretty bad in this situation.

They would just look him up in their system and notice he has a lifetime ban. They had no clue who he was but once he gave them his info he was pretty much done at that place.
