At Mohegan Sun a tournament dispute involving starting chips stacks was correctly identified by cameras.
When it comes to counting chipstacks the cameras are not going to help much. Unlike the cameras protecting the casinos money, like on a blackjack table, in the poker room they just aren't clear enough. A "poker person" can do a pretty good job of estimating just based on knowing how players stack their chips but beyond that it's tuff.
