I understand that Paul Pierce's appearance last night was memorable.

I put it on for like 10mins. They were mostly just flipping, so I bailed.

I listened to Nick and Ryan on the PokerNews podcast and they were touting this as "new show" as revolutionary and higher quality than any other stream out there but in all reality it seems to literally be the exact same show as LATB. They talked about how the setup took all this time to build but honestly it looks cheesy as hell to me and like nothing more than a raised concert stage in a the casino. So far I haven't been impressed with the stream. Looks at best one step above LATB (better cameras/interviews) and several steps below anything on pokerGO.

Naturally Ryan and Nick are going to be talking this show up a bit to create interest, but in my opinion the camera work and video quality appears to be noticeably better than LATB (graphics are fine with both). Audio is also much better on Hustler and will improve even more once they install the glass doors to block out more of the floor noise.

Another big plus is no paywall for HCL and full episodes remain up to watch whenever you want to. LATB takes the livestream down almost right after it ends, and is only available with a paid sub.

I personally just dont think the camera work is any better (better camera quality sure) than LATB. The audio in my opinion is no better than LATB. They just turned up the volume on the mic's and the floor noise is amplified because of it.

Sure no paywall is great but I also never thought LATB was worth paying for.

Overall I like the fact that its another stream with some occasional great lineups but I don't think its anything close to what they touted it to be.

Nick Vertucci was one of the main reasons I stopped watching LATB, and is the main reason I won't watch this. Now I can ignore THIS and watch LATB again!

He was spewing some anti-vax misinformation stuff the other day. Kind of a turn off for the owner of the stream to be talking about that crap. Plus, with the HD cameras, you can really see his beard dye clearly! Maybe his vanity will cause him to stop appearing on the stream.

In all seriousness, I don't mind him that much. I have seen him being annoying on LATB, talking while tanking, doing his best Daniel Negreanu impression, and yuck, I hate that stuff, it just makes poker fans all the more likely to do that time wasting BS in ordinary games. But on the handful of hustler videos I've watched, he hasn't held up the game at all.

Nick appears and there’s no audio

5 mins back to Nick, he starts to talk about a different hand, and someone on the production crew must have told him to make it quicker, move along. Nick says something like “F this I can’t do these little 10 second things, F it” takes the mic off mid interview and walks away

It was all just so good

not sure which of the two is the bigger dbag, at least Nick provides some lulz

I enjoy the dynamic of Nick losing and not being able to act like an entitled whale because he is the owner/host (although in the above example seems like he failed at that).

I feel bad for that guy. I doubt he is as terrible as he played. Maybe the stakes and TV threw him off. Probably would have been better for him to spew a couple of 10k bullets to get into a rhythm with those guys before trying to go 500 BB.

It definitely all started with the Q10 mucked hand. Insta 3 bets 63s with no action. Leading him down the road to call a multiway river with 2nd pair and then the very disgusting call on the rivered straight. (I've made this same call before. I was on major tilt when I did. It was for $10 though lol)

But yeah I really think this is a rare video and might be some sort of a record in money dusting.
