ill today I was a nerd who play only on the internet pokestarsr for months

but today was my second time I play poker in a casino in a tournament $50 entry I did very well the whole game

even when I was newbie dumb that show the card when i pick them up and mistakes like that.
that the pros dont't do

and people were very toxic to me it makes me very /overwhelmed and even sad inside tbh that it's not chill and fun game like on pokerstars that there is no judgment haha.

eventually i lost all my money because of it.

i know that its gonna continue even when im not newbie anymore how you handel this mother ****ers?

with time I think i will adapt myself to these situation and make fun of them as well
and enjoy this ugly vibe i think instead of letting that effect me and eating me from inside.

that being said that I appreciatwe that some guy on the table try to help me out
including the dealer who siat next to me.

I think this varies quite a bit from casino to casino and game to game. I'm not sure this holds true in general, but in my personal experience the higher the stakes the less toxicity, and NLHE cash has the most friendly players. My experience in tournaments and PLO have generally been worse than in NLHE cash games.

As for how to handle them, talk to the floor if it goes too far or get a table change, but dealing with needles/jerks is just part of the game sometimes, as in life.

Being a dilweed at the table in response to others being dilweeds is NOT the way to handle it. Some of what you describe is simply part of being new to the live environment. Errors are going to get called out. It is up to you whether you allow it to tilt you or not...but keeping emotions in check is ALSO part of what you have to get a grip on as you transition to live.

It was fifty bucks. This is not a huge sum. It just isn't. And if it IS a huge sum to you, then that was not the best place to be making the venture into live waters.

The simple reality is that MANY of the online wunderkind struggled in their move to live simply because they were not used to handling cards or chips or even in verbalizing their action. Some learned how to avoid the simple errors while others simply move forward with an appalling lack of social graces in addition to the physical problems. But NOBODY likes the douchebags at the table, so DON'T be the douchebag.

You have to grow thicker skin. Try your best to ignore it, don't take it personal.

This is good advice. Real life in the outside world isn't a movie or a TV show or a comic book. There are a few **** bags out there and everyone knows they're **** bags. You're never going to "win" by besting them. You win by not letting it bother you and other people will respect you for being the better person.

GTL is key. gym, tan, laundry.

once your ripped and lean, golden brown tan rocking the skin and nice well fitted clean clothes hit the card room and clean up.

First and most important thing is to harden up and let most stuff just roll off you.

Second, when and if you do react, stay calm and either cut people up verbally or call the floor to curb outrageous behaviour.

Remember these people want to take your money, so treat them accordingly. Keep everyone at arms length and don’t engage in table talk or talk about the hand. If they bad beat you say nice hand and if you beat them don’t say anything.

Tournament players are pretty quiet and hostile, they love the big headphones and the shades. Many of them are goofs in cash--more than most--i just think, "I'll get you when you come over the cash game." If not me, someone else at the table invariably does.

Granted, table change requests don't work in tournaments. If some guy was real touchy or slowing down the game with sleep I do request a seat or table change.

I know about 3000 guys in poker to one degree or another, about 100 I really like and appreciate personally. Hey man, that's not too bad a ratio! 100 good guys is worth it.

I don't know, 1 out of 30 does look like a bad ratio.

Just literally ignore it unless it truly becomes threatening or spectacularly toxic.

Being the focus of live MTT reg rage gives me life, tbh.

Unfortunately many poker communities aren't very welcoming to new blood, even though it would easily be +EV for them. Best advice is to not let it wear you down but I know that's easier said than done. Maybe read a couple more books, or watch from the rail next time to pick up on little details about casino poker, both tournaments and cash games. Focus on the players as well as the dealers.
