how many poker rooms have you played in? how many poker rooms have you played in?

Wasn't going to read all 11 pages, but this is sort of a hobby for me now. Last night I played in my 205th poker room. I actually keep a website listing the poker rooms so that I know when I'm traveling if I've been to that poker room or not. I get a chip from each casino and I have them in frames.

Most of the chips are dollars, but I have anywhere from 25 cent chips to five dollar chips. Two of the chips are autographed.

Check out the list here: http://mcpokerchip.blogspot.com/2010...beginning.html

Nice list MC. Being from the UK, I'd only ever considered AC, Vegas and S.Cali as places in the US for a poker trip. Looks like there are plenty of other options to extend my own chip collection.

Thanks guys. It's a fun hobby for sure. I've played in some of the biggest most famous rooms (Belagio, the Bike, etc) and some of the smallest no name poker table only rooms. Heck one time I drove up a mountain for an hour to play at a one table poker game in the middle of blackjack tables ( eagle mountain casino).

Couple of places to check out if you are interested (besides my website above) is chip guide.com and Tiny Treasures.

Chip guide has a list of every casino and a picture of all their chips. So when I travel I check this website out first to research who does and who doesn't have poker. All my chips are from where I play poker at. No poker, no chip. Unfortunately I can't find a reliable website that shows poker rooms only, as chip guide.com shows all casinos. Also there is an active message board of chip collectors. If you are missing a chip from either some place you won't be able to get back to or it's closed down now, someone on this board will sell or trade you that chip.

Tiny Treasures is where I get my frames. He's based in Vegas and does a great job. In fact I need to order another frame soon as I have my last 15 chips loose for now.

In regards to my website, I'm still debating on whether or not to write a trip report for each casino. I kind of want to do it to help me remember each room, but for crying out loud that's 200+! Of course every day that goes by that I don't write about it, I forget more and more of the details.

Anyway, probably more than you cared to know.

i was already near manteca and figured i would just check it out. lively small NL game with no cap as well as a great O8 game from my memory.
bay 101 is a poker destination and a wpt stop. there was amazing action there too, but i haven't played there since they changed the format of the big bet games. back when it was $200 limit per bet (no cap to raises when heads up), i won a $3k heads up pot. he just wouldn't stop raising me!

Played poker in a casino for the first time ever tonight, £50 freezeout at the Broadway Casino in Birmingham.

I must say I found it very grim, the majority of the players were depressed looking middle aged men and there was so much antagonism and bitterness flying around. One hand in particular I flopped a full house after checking 64o in the BB and ended up doubling, my opponent looked at me like I had just shot his kids dead.

Is this the general story in casinos?

just got lucky in the BB and checked and flopped nuts. It happens but i guess the story would change if you raised pflop and than there might be frustration.

Well played though

Quick update to see if we can get this thread back going (and/or continue it). This weekend was chip number 214 for me (Jumer's in Rock Island). Played in a great structured tournament there. Highly recommend it.

Next up is a trip to the Spokane, WA are where I have spotted 7 more poker/card rooms to add to the collection.

Then a trip to VEGAS! This is where I need your help. I have a bunch from Vegas (around 70) but haven't been there in over 4 years. Can anyone tell me the rooms that you know of that have opened up in the past 4 years? That will help me research which casinos/cardrooms to go to.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
