INDIANA

Grand Victoria - first casino I ever played cards in. Started 10 years ago. Cut my teeth playing 5-10 limit and sometimes 10-20 limit. Made
that drive approximately 3 times a week (often more). Ahhh...those were the single days
Argosy - easy choice to switch from Grand Vic when this room opened. It was an addition to the main casino on the bottom floor. Played
mostly 3-6 limit. Started dabbling in NL here.
Hollywood - The "New" Argosy. World class poker room design. Beautiful room. WPT sponsored. 1-3 NL is my main game. Put in between
40 and 70 hours a month here.
Belterra - Too far away to play regularily. Only a few games going (ever). Nice room location, though.

LOUISIANA

Arogsy (Baton Rouge) - My buddy worked in Baton Rouge a few years. Made one trip to visit him. Room was in the middle of the casino floor. Played 1-2 limit.

MISSISSIPPI

Beau Rivage (Biloxi) - Very nice poker room. Played 1-2 NL and tournaments here. Was 2 off bubble-boy for tournament. Booked a solid win at NL for the 2 days we played. Solid, competent dealers. Whole casino reminds me of Bellagio.

TEXAS

Texas Treasure (gambling cruise) - Played pot limit hold em. Booked a very small profit. Cruise was several hours long off the coast of Corpus Christi. I was there for National Bowling Tournament. Proposed to my wife on this trip. She said yes

NEVADA

Eldorado (Reno) - This was probably my first poker room outside of Indiana. Was Reno for National Bowling Tournament. Don't remember what I did or what I played, but pretty sure I lost. Room was small and secluded (4 walls). I was more concerned about getting drunk that trip. I was much more successful at that

LAS VEGAS:

Golden Nugget - Newly remodeled downtown room. Awesome design. Good action. Great 1-2 game (uncapped buy-in). Played here on several trips.
Binions - Famous downtown room. Played here both before and after the remodel. New room is very nicely done, but old room carried the mystique of a legendary poker venue.
Rio
Palms - small, off-strip room. Only place I didn't care for on my first trip. Cramped room with an unfriendly vibe.
Wynn - Beautiful room. Right accross from the Ferrari store and showroom played both 1-3NL and 4-8Limit here.
Treasure Island - Gets my vote for friendliest, most comfortable room in Vegas. It's small, and in a terrible location inside the casino, but the staff is tremendous and they run good, small buy-in tournaments. One of the few rooms (along with Wynn) that run 1-3NL instead of 1-2NL.
Mirage - Nothing special about this room. Best quality is the close proximity it is to Carnegie Deli. Yummmm.
Ceasar's Palace - Didn't like this room at all. High rake. No top-shelf drinks. Bad location. They do have great tournaments, though.
Bellagio - Still the poker mecca. They consistently spread the biggest games in town. Their 2-5 game was the best in town until they introduced 1-2 to the room. Now the 1-2 is one of the best. A lot of money to be won here if you can get past the cramped tables and crappy floor treatment (they turn their noses up to low-limit players).
Planet Hollywood - Sat down with $50 after a horrible session at MGM. That didn't last long.
Imperial Palace - Room is sectioned-off in the middle of casino floor. Tables are huge and ugly. Chips are so old they don't stack. Very loose action if you can stand the rest of the "ambient" pleasures.
MGM - Great action room. Room never goes dark. Can buy in for as little as $40 at the NL tables. Attached to the Centrifuge bar, so it's loud every 20 minutes. Also right by the club so there's nice distractions in the late-night hours I've had mixed success in this room - big wins, but big losses also. Loose action creates large variance. A fun room to play.
Harrah's - Good location. Friendly dealers. Mostly a locals room, but I have found good success here. Usually make this my late-night room as I always stay at Imperial Palace (next door).
Venetian - Hands down nicest room in town. Biggest, too. Great staff. Friendly and competent dealers. Wait staff is first class. Serve all top-shelf liquors, most of them w/o asking (order vodka/cranberry and you get Grey Goose). Problem is, I can't win in this room. Dunno why...just seems to be my nemesis. Also have some of the best daily tournaments as well as the best non-WSOP tournament series (Deepstack).
Boulder Station - A dump. One of the only 3 rooms in Vegas where you can still smoke at the table.
Orleans - Off-strip room. Big, mostly a local room. If you want an Omaha game, you'll always find one here. I booked a big win here in the 2 hours I spent there with some friends.

CANADA

Casino Niagara (Niagara Falls) - Fallsview Casino is nicer, but this room has smaller limits. 1-2NL. Was here on an anniversary trip. My wife's first stint at NL. Decent action. Played about even for trip.

CALIFORNIA

Bay 101 (San Jose) - Played in the WPT Shooting Star tournament here and then 3-6 limit against a bunch of hyper-aggressive asians. Come to find out that's the standard for California poker. No NL games here (against San Jose law). Lots of spread limit games, though. Big room. Lots of hustle and bustle, but that may have been because of the tournament. Got to see a lot of pros here, so that was cool.

Out of all these The Beau Rivage has my vote for the best overall room with The Venetian coming in second.

Wish i woulda kept a chip from each one. Always wanted to make this list, just makes me think of all the ones I havn't played in.

couldve easily forgotten some. ive also been in a lot of poker rooms and not played. caesars, red rock, pala, golden nugget, lucky lady, binions im sure a lot more. also been in some that didnt have poker room/didnt go to poker room. most of those casinos are long lost memories since i was probably on my way to blacking out while i was there. my only memento of any of these rooms is either the memory of a crushing defeat, justice being served, or a bunch of whatever the highest denomination chip is in my safe deposit boxes. and also ten $1 barona chips cuz i wanted to learn how to shuffle chips back in 2004. probably should have picked a quality chip instead of their crappy hard to shuffle chips. i think those chips are out of circulation now, i wonder how many lifetimes i will have to wait before they are worth more than the $1 they used to be worth.

oo, right, South Point, I've got that one too. Went bowling there, got drunk with a bunch of buddies, stumbled down to the 1/2NL table and sat down with none other than Chris Moneymaker. Apparently he was killing time before an early flight. I think **COMFIRMED BUSTO**. j/k.
