I thought those Jack Casino's in Ohio were just the rebranded Horsheshoe's that you also have played at? I'm always a little on the fence about what to count when it comes to stuff like that. I also chose to count both the Linq and the Quad, as the room was in a different area of the casino, had different chips/staff and everything.

With all the Vegas rooms you hit, I'm surprised you never hit the Paris back when they had a room. Seems you hit many rooms that are now closed, but don't have that one listed. It's the only Vegas room that seems to be missing in your list.

Yeah, I struggle with what to include as well. I'm okay including JACK casinos because it was a completely different company that bought them out + new chips. I guess i missed Paris on my first trips to Vegas. Only casino that I'm currently missing in Vegas is Poker Palace, I've arrived twice only to find there wasnt a poker game running :@

Yeah at this point I've played every room in Vegas that I think is worthwhile. There's a few left which are Poker Palace, Silver 7's, Club Fortune, Cannery, Eastside Cannery, and Suncoast Station, Sam's Town, and Arizona Charlie's but I can't see myself chosing to spend any of my time when I'm in Vegas pursuing those places, as they seem to only run 2-4 limit or micro tournies and are well out of the way. I was surprised Sam's Town didn't have anything other than a single 2-4 game when I visited, because it was a huge place with lots of people, but the room was tucked away and hard to find. I spend at least a month every year in Vegas, so maybe each year I'll pick one. I missed out on the Riviera, the Plaza, Tropicana, and El Cortez.

Over the years I have devoted days to hitting all those small out of the way Vegas casinos including all mentioned by Carnivore. Sorry I didn't get to the Quad in time but made the IP and the LINC. Also just missed the brief life of the Westgate by a couple of weeks. FWIW the inappropriately named Poker Palace only has poker Friday and Saturday nights. They start with a 2-3 table tourney and as that breaks they start up a no limit game. I had an enjoyable time but it definitely is not an upscale experience.

Everyone has their own definition of what constitutes a poker room, but for me, if it's a different name on the building and different chips, then it's a different poker room that I count. For example, I've played at The Imperial Palace, The Quad and now The Linq and they were all in the same building, but they were 3 different casinos with 3 different chips, so for me that counts as 3 different rooms.

As for the Poker Palace - with a name like that it should have poker 24/7 - it is one of the worst poker rooms I've ever played in - it's in my top 5 worst rooms - absolutely awful experience. It took two visits to get it, but I got my chip and I will never go there again ... awful place. As Anytwo72 said, try Friday or Saturday night and be prepared to be disappointed.

I agree with the new owner and new chips = different room but one I have struggled with is when the casino shuts down poker and then reopens. Not sure of the exact dates but in the 90s MGM Vegas had a nice little 6 table or so room way off in a corner. They shut it down and went without poker for at least several years. Then they opened up again in a new spot. I consider this 2 different rooms however if they had simply moved from one space to another without the intervening closure (like Delaware Park for instance) I would count it as one.
