Went on my final business trip of the year and was able to have some free time to visit a couple extra casinos. In 2015, I was able to go from 156 casinos played at to 180! Hoping I get sent to a few new cities in 2016 that will let me break the 200 mark

Missed connections on this trip:

The game poker club, Portland OR - the first time i tried to hit this room i got a head ache and decided to skip it. This time i showed up, waited about 15 minuted for a seat and then decided this room should wait for next time i drop by Portland.

Ashland social Club, Ashland OR - poker atlad made me really want to check this place out. But when i found the adress there was sign that such a room existed.

Club one, Fresno - i ended up here by accident when i wanted to go to Club 500 and got directions to here instead. I didnt feel right about the area and decided to skip it and eventually did find Club 500 which i was more interested in.

Aviator Casino, Delano CA - stpped in as it was right off the highway i was travelling on. Ni game running, and i was somewhat relieved as i didnt really feel like playing.

Thete were other casinos off that same highway but I was ready to get to Vegas and not be on the road any longer.

So the upcoming road trip that I'm looking for tips on is as follows.

I'm gonna drive as fast as possible from Vancouver to Toronto, although I want to do this drive in Canada so I only cross the border twice and not 4 times. It's unlikely I'll hit up any rooms during this stretch. I might still consider taking the faster US route for this stretch. This should take 5 days.

But following that, the trip will be Toronto-Montreal-Baltimore-Chicago-Vancouver. I have family to stay with in each of these locations except Montreal. I'd give myself about 15-20 days for this stretch.


So I'm expecting to hit up the rooms around Toronto, Montreal, Baltimore (I've already played these rooms but they're some of the best), and Chicago.

I'm not out to hit up every room, but I certainly want to hit up the best rooms, and prefer to travel the best roads and the best areas.

I'm especially interested in suggestions between Chicago and Vancouver during the final stretch.

Here are a few larger ones that I didn't see on your list. Not sure of your route but you should be able to find a game most times of the day at these (except in Montana) -

Looks like between Montreal and Baltimore there should be some good stops, such as Foxwoods and stuff around Philadelphia.

I have a little bit of extra motivation to hit up any location where I can earn Total Rewards points, as I plan on reaching Diamond status this year.

Should be a really exciting trip! I could easily be at 125 rooms or more by summer!

The road trip might grow even more. There's a potential for it to be.....

Vancouver-Toronto-Montreal-Halifax-Baltimore-Chicago-Vancouver

with many stops in between. Could easily be a 10,000 mile trip that might stretch to a month or slightly more in length. After that, I think I'll be riding my bike to the casino and everywhere else everyday for a few months

I have been to Halifax but I flew, probably 15 years ago Spent a weekend there with my wife. Hit the card room - okay but nothing memorable. Typical Great Canadian casino. Like Hollywood properties - if you have seen one you have pretty much seen them all. The drive along the coast and the lighthouses was the best part of the trip.

Looking at google maps going Montreal-Halifax-Foxwoods is 23 hours of driving. There are some rooms in New Hampshire on the Mass border and a Hollywood Casino in Bangor Maine but lots of miles with nothing but trees.

Alternatively Montreal to Turning Stone (near Syracuse) to Foxwoods in 8 1/2. Turning Stone has a nice poker room and has a hotel attached.

Or Montreal to Foxwoods is only 6.

So unless your goal is to be able to say you have played poker coast to coast, I would give Halifax a pass.

Long haul between Montreal and Baltimore.

Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun are on that route in eastern Connecticut.

You'll also be bypassing the New Hampshire rooms (they're small) and Twin River in Rhode island (but there the wait for seat will longer than the drive from Vancouver - Toronto )

But the CT rooms need to be on your list.
