Here are the rooms that I got to this weekend –

ISLE CAPRI 777 N MAIN ST CAPE GIRARDEAU MO
HARRAHS METROPOLIS 100 E FRONT ST METROPOLIS IL
HOLLYWOOD ST LOUIS ST LOUIS MO
HORSESHOE 1000 BROADWAY CINCINNATI OH
HORSESHOE S IND 11999 CASINO CENTER DR ELIZABETH IN

Also 3 great bbq places. Highly recommend Bogarts in St Louis.

Mileage was 1144 over 3 days - so miles per poker room was way up there at 228. Don’t think I have ever been higher – maybe when I drove from Austin to Eagle Pass and back for 1 room.

Highlight was getting a rental car with unlimited mileage for $131 for the 3 days – thanks Enterprise.

Enjoyed Harrahs Metropolis the most. Nice cardroom and nice crowd. Stayed in the hotel also very nice for $70 total – put me on the top floor in room 711. Unfortunately that didn’t carry over to the card room – lost $133.

Here is a picture of Metropolis City Hall.

Am now at 497 rooms played in and ready for Vegas. In reviewing my list and Poker Atlas I have found another 3 possibilities in the Vegas area – 1 in Beatty – about 2 hours north, 1 in Searchlight – about 1 hour south, and Planet Hollywood. I had thought PH and Ballys were the same room but now I see that I was wrong.

Went through and compared all Poker Atlas rooms to my list and came up with 196 that I haven’t played in in the US and 61 in Canada. May have to buy an RV.

Hey - see that I am no longer a "Newbie" made the big jump to "Enthusiast". anyhow here is the plan for the upcoming trip to Vegas.

Cliffs – Planning to play in my 500th card room Saturday 6/20 at the Poker Palace around 10 pm or so.
Fall back plan is TI Wednesday June 24

Went back though list of 497 rooms played in and found 2 that were questionable – had counted a BARGE trip on 2002 as a card room and had mistakenly marked Firekeepers Casino in Battle Creek MI as having played there. So to avoid any taint, reset number to 495.

Arriving Las Vegas 6 pm 6/17 – pick up rental at Avis – head for Silver Sevens on Flamingo – #496.

Thursday road trip to Pahrump Nugget Casino (1 hr drive) 4 tables with 11 am tourney everyday - then on to Stagecoach Casino in Beatty (another hour) – 2 tables opens at 6pm Weds/Sat – hopefully # 497 and # 498. 2 hr drive back to Vegas in time for

Friday – WSOP Seniors 10 am – hoping to duplicate 2012 run and get to second day. If so try to remember not to play AJo when have enough chips to fold into the money.

Saturday – assuming no longer in Seniors, 4/8 Omaha hi at Boulder in the morning, Rolling Smoke or Mulls Road Kill Grill for late lunch, on to Searchlight Casino 1 hr south of Vegas – opens 1 table at 6pm on Friday and Saturdays– get there at 5 and get on list – hopefully. #499. Around 8 leave for Poker Palace 1 hr away in North Vegas – 7 tables but only open F/S. Hopefully will have some cash tables going after tourney. #500.

If something prevents me from making it on Saturday have 3 backup poker rooms – Westgate, TI and Planet Hollywood. Since the Searchlight and the Poker Palace are only open F/S will probably reschedule to hit 500 on Wednesday at TI.

Sunday – back at WSOP for Super Seniors. Will be interested to see how many entries they get – first time offered and it is Father’s Day after all. (Ask kids to buy me in?)

Monday – if not still in Super Seniors, moving downtown for the $560 Horse tourney at Golden Nugget. Afterwards looking at $150 PLO Tourneys at PH for Tuesday and Thursday.

Extended trip a couple of days to be able to take in the Chip Collectors Show at South Point Thursday or Friday. Also will make annual stops at Gamblers General Store, chip hunting at Spinetti’s, numerous restaurants, The Orleans, Fly out Friday at 3 pm.

Here are the 2 books that started me off - wife gave me Holden's book for Xmas in 1990 or 91. which got me to Alvarez.

And current poker library - haven't helped my game too much though - lol

This should be a fun experiment in memory. Quick info on my playing history. Mid 30's been playing in casinos for about 10 years. Casino employee currently. Have worked in 7 casinos. 4 in California, 2 in Vegas, plus WSOP which I am separating from the Rio because it's a different animal. I'll list as best I can by general location. Looks like I came up with 57. Not bad considering there are a few popular places around me I've never been to.

Got back from my trip to Vegas to play in the WSOP Senior's Event (I cashed! Yeah, me!) and I managed to pick up 3 more poker rooms.

Skyline in Henderson (very friendly people - very friendly - like playing in a home game)
Pahrump Nugget (also very nice people)
Eureka in Mesquite (again nice crowd)

So that puts me up to 97 ... on my way to the century mark!

well over 300 i would guess but i'm too lazy to make a list or collect all those $1 chips. If it's on pokeratlas in the U.S. i've probably been there as i travel to all 48 contiguous states for my business and use that site extensively

Major kudos to Anytwo72!

Interesting to me, i've never played Texas Holdem (or any poker) in Texas.

I'm assuming these places just had small tournaments or 2/4 limit? Or do they get any NL? I didn't think Skyline had a poker room but I never went in to verify even though I drove past it many times.

Skyline has only 2/4 limit (with 3/6 kill pot) and runs games Thur thru Sun (and Mondays during the football season).
I found that Skyline had games from PokerAtlas (http://www.pokeratlas.com/poker-room...sino-henderson)

Pahrump Nugget has small tournaments and spreads a 2-8 limit spread cash game when they can find enough people to play (you can bet anywhere from $2 to $8 pre-flop though the end)

Eureka also spreads a 2-8 limit game and spreads a Omaha game as well ... they have tournaments, but none were running when I was there, so I don't know any details.

I use PokerAtlas to find new poker rooms to play and it usually has good info on when games are going ... though calling the poker room works as well.

I made the 100-aire club! This past weekend I went on a tour of eastern PA poker rooms and with these new 4 rooms, I cracked the 100 poker room goal!

98 - SugarHouse - Philadelphia, PA
99 - Sands - Bethlehem, PA
100 - Mount Airy - Mount Pocono,PA
101 - Mohegan Sun @ Pocono Downs - Plains, PA

(And the number one sign that you may not be driving through the best part of Philadelphia ... On the corner store they have a large billboard that says "We Ship To Prisons")

Choctaw and WinStar and I like both. Although both are soft games at 1-2 and 2-5 I think WinStar wins the donkfest. Both will allow any competent player to win at least 50.00 bucks an hour at 1-2 and about 75.00 an hr at 2-5

They are soft games but "competent" players aren't making returns that high over a significant sample size.

Maybe its a sample size but I still have those amounts after 750 hrs of live play at those casinos. Most players are limping any two or raising 5x with big hands and wont fold big pps on the most coordinated flops possible...

Yes it is a small sample size. A few losing sessions could have a huge impact on those win rates.

As I perused this thread, I began to wonder where I stood in respect to everyone else, so I took it upon myself to tally up everyone’s totals (over the past several weeks) and now thanks to the magic of the internet, everyone can now see where they place in the list of Poker Rooms Played …

So, in making the list …
• If the poster gave a number, I accepted that number and did not double-check them.
• Otherwise, I counted them … however, if the poster stated “several” or “a bunch” or “various”, those did not get counted as I do not know how many “several” or “a bunch” etc. is.
• I also counted “Underground Poker Rooms”, if listed, but not Home Games or any “Coming Soon”.
• If the poster forgot the name of the poker room, I still gave them credit – we all can’t remember every place we’ve ever been, can we?
• Finally, even though the point of the thread is how many Poker Rooms you’ve played in, several posters just counted casinos and I did not differentiate as that would really take too much time to determine which have, or had, poker rooms and which did not (and I’ve really wasted enough time on this as is!).

Hopefully, I got everyone and my counting wasn’t too far off (there were some posts that were somewhat hard to decipher as to what they meant), so if I got something wrong, I apologize.

So, here we go … from the top down …

I am now at 503. I made the annual pilgrimage to LV for the WSOP and hit most of the rooms noted in an earlier post. First made it to Parhump and played in a 13 person tourney $30 buy in - chopped with 3 left. Waited an hour and got a shorthanded game going. Then went up to Beatty that evening - crazy - had 5 dealers sitting around - asked about a game and found that you play against the dealers and hope someone else shows up - it was low limit so only lost about $40. Went to Westgate and found it had closed 2 weeks earlier. At Poker Palace waited for a 1-2 nl game on Friday night. Saturday went south to Searchlight Nugget - only day of the week that the 1 table was open - more like a home game - 1-4 limit - dealers choice but played only 1 hand of stud - rest was holdem. Dealer said the place was just sold and the new owners weren't going to continue with poker or blackjack so I was playing in the last game they would have. Fittingly was the 500th room for me. Then Planet Hollywood, Silver Sevens and TI to get to 503. Busted out of the Seniors in the 6th level - then the Super Seniors in the 5th level - played in the Golden Nugget HORSE tourney on Monday and was knocked out 22 out of 146 - close to the money. Started at he same table as Miami John and several other pros. Had a good time at the Chip Collectors.

2 pics of #500

Just back from family vacation in Michigan. Picked up a granddaughter in northern Wisconsin so tried to play at Lake of the Torches - about 15 miles from her camp. Was there about 10 years ago but no game was going. Poker Atlas shows them open Thurs, Fri and Sat. Got there at 10pm and it was dead. Nice little 3 table room but no staff and everything locked up. Oh well.

73 is my current total, here is how and when I got there...

1) Sahara Las Vegas (2005)

I had just played some home games and was getting into poker online. I was in Vegas with my parents and while they went for dinner I played some 1/2. Dad staked me $100 and gave him back $70 after my small loss because some guy called my $15 AK raise with K7 and flopped 2 pair.

2) MGM, Las Vegas (2006)

Dad wanted to play and I was old enough and game to play too. Dad staked me $100 and I remember hitting a gutshot straight with KJ and then getting paid off by 2 players and cashing out $780. $100 back to Dad and the most profitable day of my young life at the time. I was ready to go pro

3) Paris, Las Vegas (2006)

The next night. Lost my first $100, and then ran up my 2nd to about $350 for another profitable night.

4) RiverRock Casino, BC, Canada (2007)

Fresh off one more Vegas with the parents trip that included winning session at the MGM, I started going to my local casino. And within my first 4 visits, I was up $3000 playing 1/2. I was hooked. Then in my next 3 visits, it was all gone, and I remember walking out into the 10am blinding sun with almost all my money gone. Looking back I know how terrible I played and what a fluke my early wins were.

*Online* I started playing play money on stars. Then I researched where the softed games were online, and a site named Pacific Poker came up. I deposited $100, and never went back to school or work. I dropped them both immediately. I played at least 15 hours a day, every single day, for 7 months. Cashed out, paid off my debts and bought a new computer with the money and moved back in with my parents. Now in the states, I deposited $500 on Bodog and continued the grind. 8 months later I moved out again with a nice big roll and never looked back. I'm sure I've played over 8 million hands, possibly nearing 10 million.

But back to the story of which live rooms I've played over the years.

5) The Rio, WSOP (2009)

I won a seat via a freeroll, cashed, and spent the rest of the week laying by the pool. Back then I had no interest in live poker whatsoever.

6) Edgewater Casino, Vancouver, Canada (2010)

Then in 2013 I decided to take a trip to play live in Las Vegas. Only new rooms will be added as I go along.

7) Excalibur Las Vegas (2013)

I started with sessions at MGM and Excalibur, and was down a bit after 5 days.

and then

8) Aria Las Vegas (2013)

I won 4600 here in one night playing 1/3 and have never been in a game like that one before or since.

9) Wynn Las Vegas (2013)

And almost exactly as much playing 2/5 here the next night. These were by far the best 2 live poker nights I've ever had and they came back to back. I've never even won 2k+ on any other night.

Other Vegas rooms hit for the first time in this trip

10) Venetian (2013)
11) Bellagio (2013)
12) Caesars (2013)
13) Palms (2013)
14) Red Rock (2013)
15) Bally's (2013)
16) Flamingo (2013)
17) Stratosphere (2013)
18) Golden Nugget (2013)
19) Mirage (2013)
20) Planet Hollywood (2013)
21) Mandalay Bay (2013)
22) The Orleans (2013)
23) Monte Carlo (2013)
24) Circus Circus (2013)

And took a side trip

25) Commerce Casino, Los Angeles (2013)

A few months later I was snowboarding in Colorado and took a trip down into New Mexico and hit up 2 rooms there.

26) Buffalo Thunder, Sante Fe NM (2013)
27) Inn of the mountain Gods, NM (2013)

And a brief trip to Florida

28) Seminole Hard Rock, FL (2013)

And late that year I took a summer trip through the north, hiking, camping, and all that kind of stuff, and played some poker along the way.

29) Treasure Cove, Prince George, BC (2013)
30) Diamond Tooth Gerties, Yukon (2013)
31) Lake City Kelowna, BC (2013)

Then in the fall I hit up one new stop

32) Grand Villa, Burnaby, BC (2013)

Before embarking on a 17 month travel. During that trip I would hit up the following rooms roughly this order...

33) Tulalip Casino, WA (2013)
34) Aces Full, Portland OR (2013)
35) Lucky Devils Lounge, Portland OR (2013)
36) Peppermill, Reno, NV (2013)
37) Green Valley Ranch, Henderson NV (2014)
38) South Point, Las Vegas, NV (2014)
39) Treasure Island, Las Vegas NV (2014)
40) Hard Rock, Las Vegas NV (2014)
41) Boulder Station, Las Vegas NV (2014)
42) The Quad, Las Vegas NV (2014)
43) Route 66, Albuquerque, NM (2014)
44) Sandia, Albuquerque, NM (2014)
45) Sante Ana Star, Albuquerque NM (2014)
46) Ameristar, Blackhawk, CO (2014)
47) Isle, Blackhawk, CO, (2014)
48) Golden Gates, Blackhawk, CO (2014)
49) The Lodge, Blackhawk, CO (2014)
50) Lady Luck, Blackhawk, CO (2014
51) Hollywood Speedway, Kansas City, KS (2014)
52) Maryland Live, MD, (2014)
53) Enjoy Casino Del Mar, Vina Del Mar, Chile (2014)
54) Atlantic City Casino, Lima, Peru
55) Fiesta Hotel And Casino, Lima, Peru
56) Majestic Casino, Lima Peru
57) Horseshoe Baltimore, MD (2014)
58) Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races, Charles Town WV (2014)
59) Hollywood Perryville, MD (2014)
60) Harrah's Atlantic City, NJ (2014)
61) Ballys Atlantic City, NJ (2014)
62) Borgata, Atlantic City, NJ (2014)
63) Harrah's Cherokee, SC (2014)
64) Westgate, Las Vegas, NV (2015)
65) Hooters, Las Vegas, NV (2015)
66) Binions, Las Vegas NV (2015)
67) Harrah's, Las Vegas NV (2015)
68) Luxor, Las Vegas NV (2015)
69) Final Table, Portland, OR (2015)
70) Hard Rock, Vancouver, BC (2015)

Then a trip to Calgary for Stampede 2015

71) Cowboys Casino, Calgary, AB (2015)
72) Grey Eagle, Calgary, AB (2015)
73) Deerfoot Inn and Casino, Calgary, AB (2015)

3 trips this winter are going to happen.

1) Another Pacific Northwest trip (should hit 3-5 new rooms)
2) A trip to Edmonton (not a poker trip but should hit at least 2 of their rooms) might also be able to hit Red Deer and Calgary
3) Another trip to Las Vegas, with side trips probable into CA and AZ.
4) And there are 2 more rooms within an hour of where I live that I've just never gotten around to hitting.

So I should be at 90 by Spring. But I don't expect to hit 100 until at least 2017 if not 2018. A trip to Europe and a trip to the deep south would probably be what gets me there. I'm not in race, but I hope at least every few months I can find time to hit a couple of new rooms.
