The Gun Lake Tribe of Pottawatomie Indians has started construction on the Gun Lake Casino. This casino will be built in phases. The first phase should be completed around August 2010. Early reports on the casino had plans for a poker room. With the new plan for building in phases it is uncertain where the poker room will fit in

Went to the new poker room (about a year old) yesterday. Loved the place. Very cool--except for the flies that they need to purge from the building. Its 5 bucks rake+2 players fund.

Not that it can't have its own thread of course, but this room is heavily discussed in the West Michigan Poker thread. Unless it's your intention to move the discussion out of that thread and to here, you should participate in that thread, or you'll miss too much.

As for the flies ... Apparently when they were beginning a bathroom remodel they found quite a cluster of them that 'escaped' into the casino. Not sure why the problem has persisted as long as it has, but that was the latest word from the ranks. GL
