Going next week. What stakes (mon-thursday) do they offer in Limit HE.

They recently renovated the poker room (again). Now its just a space in the middle of the casino with no walls, its about 10 tables. They usually just have a single 1/2 nl game going...

Don't know during the week, but my guess is that a 2/4 or a 3/6 limit game is what they have (if any). I know that during the week some regs get together for a 6/12 round/round game (limit HE/O8)

6/12 actually runs Saturday. Thurs was the 5/10 Limit game, but the BBJ has killed it. 4/8 limit ran a couple weeks ago, and was juicy while it lasted. Those regulars prefer a shot at the jackpot. The Thursday $50 tourney is over. Mgmt decided to run a $80+ 10+ 10 instead.

bump.

i'll be headed here the weekend of Dec. 16th for my buddy's bachelor party (being held at Devil's Head). i don't snowboard, and neither do about 10 other guys, so this seems like the perfect alternative.

looks like the BBJ is around $70k, which would compensate for all the hookers & blow going around our tour bus that we're taking up there from chicago.

i would imagine the games are of avg. player quality? nothing out of the ordinary considering the limits? any feedback would be appreciated...gratsi!

Be aware their BBJ rakes $1 for any flop, even if there is $5 in the pot. The house will also take $0.50 on every $5 as well up to $4, so make the most out of the pots you play. It's easily beatable in the evenings. More rocks during the day.

What time are their tourneys. See that they run one on Thursdays, but doesn't say what time it starts.. any ideas?

So, what you are saying is that there is absolutely no reason for anyone to ever travel to play there, right?

Thursday tourney started at 6pm last time I played. Could last til midnight if you play for the win/$$$. I'd rather play at Ho Chunk vs Dejope where you risk collusion at the e-tables.

I'm going to be with a bunch of degen's that will want to play table games too, so I figure this will be the best spot.

Is the highest limit game they have going 3/6??? I don't play poker drunk that often, but when I do, I prefer LHE :P

Highest limit holdem will be 3/6, with the exception of the 6/12 round by round on saturdays. 1/2nl goes everyday, games are ok. The last 3 fridays, there has been a 2/5 plo game.

awesome...thanks for the heads up! i'm guessing i'll just splash around in the 3/6 or 1/2 nl then, depending whatever will be going on the Saturday morning when i'm there.

is it a $200 max buy-in for the 1/2? or do they make it [somewhat] deeper by going up to $300? table stakes would be fun!

$100-300 for the 1/2. $200-500 for the plo, and the random 2/5nlhe that pops up once a month or so

How frequently do they run the limit 3/6 and do they ever get a 5/10 running?

I popped in for the first time in months this Monday, and the house paid out about $1000.00 in the Aces cracked promotion. Game ran from 10am to 4pm. Can't believe it didn't run longer the way the house was paying out dough. One player had them cracked 3 times. I'm not sure if Wed has a regular 3/6 or 5/10 game, even with the promotion.

Stopped this past Thurs for a long session of 1/2. They got up to 3 full tables of 1/2 going before, and during the 6pm tourney. No other limits were spread. I asked about Wed, and the floor said no 3/6 got going despite the Wed flush drawing or Aces cracked. Also heard "Deuce" was playing in the Friday 2/5 PLO game lately.

The Thurs tourney only had 20 entries which I hear has been the norm lately. They still pay top 5 I heard.

I've seen 3-5 tables of 1/2 NL running lately, along with a table or two of 3/6 limit and the Friday night 2/5 PLO game featuring the Deuce.

Played there twice.

Once was 1/2NL with TERRIBLE players. Other time was a kill omaha game.

Headed on a road trip from MN to IL this week and will be passing through WI Dells and Madison on Tuesday and again on Friday. Wondering what the action will be like on Tuesday (I'm a 1/2 or 2/5 player). Mostly regs during the day?

Also, does Madison only have electronic tables?

Apparently on these electronic tables you can play blackjack, video poker and baccarat, between hands.

An additional update would be that they have to deplete their Promo Fund before the room closes via HH and other giveaways. This has been going on for weeks!! Not sure how much is left or how they are giving it away .. but you need to be there to collect!! GL
