As you may have noticed from the Forum Announcement, the new owners at 2+2 are doing a little restructuring of the forums, effective one week from today. https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/2...uncements.html

CCP has a couple changes inbound, but none are earth shattering:

1- Venues and Communities is no longer a sub-forum, it is now it's own top level forum inside the "Live Poker" heading. This change actually happened about a week or two ago already, as some of you noticed. Lattimer and I will continue to moderate that forum. We may do a little restructuring of the stickies and rules, eventually, but it's not high on our to do list. Nothing else about it will change, at least in the short term.

2- The "Poker Tells / Behavior" and "Televised Poker" fora are being merged into CCP. So you may see some new threads on those topics merged in, and there will be new posts about them going forward. I don't think there's anything we'll have to change to accommodate them, though we'll monitor over time. Lattimer and I will continue to moderate CCP, including all the new PT/B and TP posts, but we may at some point have the mods from those fora also jump in to moderate posts about their topics, it's not clear yet.

Any questions, feel free to post them. We'll answer as we're able.

Can the left-hand side navigation be cleaned up?

For example, Other Topics > Programming was merged with Computer Technical Help, so the Programming link takes you to an empty list. I think 2+2 Communities > EDF is like that too, probably others I haven't come across.

Seems like all my subscriptions and the threads I look at got retained, nice job by the team.

Why is CCP not the first subforum under Live Poker?

Above my pay grade. But LVL gets more traffic, and V&C is more analogous to the online sites fora, which is something they are focusing on, maybe?

It looks like the Mid/High MTT forum has been merged with the Low MTT forum.

So when you log in you see mostly [LOW] threads sprinkled with some [MID], [GENERAL], etc.

You can filter them but ironically that just splits the MID & HIGH forums again. Also, I am not sure if you can enter the forum with the filter on. So it will be one extra step each day when logging in to see the [MID] forum and then another to see the [HIGH] forum.

Without filtering it is entirely likely that there will be [MID] and [HIGH] threads that have been recently updated that won't be on the first page.

If they are going to stay with this, at least have a prefix filter option to include both [MID] and [HIGH] at the same time.

Feedback on other forums should probably go in those forums. (Which I see you've already figured out.)

I will tell you that the MTT forum has gotten a bit of feedback already, both in that thread and in private. The new owners seem to be very willing to take feedback and improve things, but they also have done data analysis and made changes they feel will improve traffic. Worst case, they have said the changes can be reversed if needed.
