Given the popularity of the High Hands promotion in poker rooms, I made an Android app that calculates the expected value of a high hand given certain variables (Time left, number of tables and prize). Buying high hands from people could be very profitable in the long run. Comments, questions, and suggestions are greatly appreciated and if you like it please consider leaving a review. Thanks!

Cool idea, but I don’t know of a room where you’re allowed to buy someone’s high hand.

I've never seen a room facilitate selling a high hand, but it happens all the time. It's a gentleman's agreement between the two players.

From what I've been told, selling of hands is very common in FL where they can be for pretty decent cash and only 30 minutes intervals. Plenty of cross-staking as well.

Two Players I know where involved in a spot to note. Player A had a $500 high hand with only 15 minutes to go. He sold his hand to Player B for $475 ... and promptly bumped the high hand himself with 3 minutes to go!! A tidy $975 for what should've been $500. GL

Oh, sorry ... as far as the Ap. I'm sure it would be fine to have, but as with the use of odds calculators at the table I think that most Players would not really want to get involved. GL

Only time I offered to buy a players High Hand, it was a Thursday night, about 30 tables or so running, high hand is every 30 minutes, with about 13 minutes left, guy hits a Straight Flush to the 7, high hand is $777, he instantly says "I've hit a high hand about 15 times, and it's never held" I kinda jokingly offer him $300 for it expecting him to say no, but he's actually is thinking about it... but ultimately decides against it... About 5 minutes left, I offer him $500, he actually says I'd probably take that if your serious, I say I am, and some other guy chimes in and tells him it's -EV to take it (At this point in the discussion, it's probably closer to 3 minutes left now) so he decides against it... About 30 seconds left, and his high hand gets cracked by a straight flush to the 9.. definitely dodged a bullet, consider that my life lesson learned.. lol But that being said, I like the app idea and would probably download it for the fun of it, and as a topic of discussion at a table.
