Excalibur PLO is on every Thursday night. It has also started to run a bit on Monday I think. Everyone should see Jeff Hwangs article in current issue of Cardplayer on the Excalibur PLO game. Go Jeff!!

As far as PokerPro HU we have not yet found the right poker market to give this a try. We tried in a few other markets, but there was no demand for HU. This surprised me given the huge demand for HU online.

Vegas might give PokerPro HU its best shot. No plans as of yet as we are still in process of getting the 10-seated PokerPro launched.

Would love to get a TR after you give PokerPro a try at Excalibur.

I *think* pokertek supplied the tables at Michigans New Buffalo, Four Winds casino and I played a bit of HU PLO and absolutely loved it. Was tough to get people to play it though, most stayed with their boring 10 person NLHE (yawn) games.

Hey guys is the Thursdays and sometimes Monday's the only nights they run PLO there? I'll be there Sun-Wed at the end of Feb and love to get in on some PLO.

Looks like my bike won't be done until 530 or 6. So I won't get to vegas until 9 pm gotta go run and get my balla free room at the sahara and i'll be down around 930 (sigh) I wanted to be there for the start.

Game did not go this week. Floor said me and Jeff and maybe one other were the only ones who showed up. And I was an hour and a half late.

Heh i WAS so cold from the bike ride in I had trouble signing the buy in recipt.

You got a fast car if you can make it from Tacoma to Vegas in 2 1/2 hours.

2 hrs if I do warp speed and don't stop in baker for a gyro or primm for gas

Had a little setback last week, presumably due to the football game. Game back on tonight with TT and Co.

They said they played eight-handed on Wednesday though, so maybe Thursday is just a bad day. We had five people on the list yesterday, at least two of which didn't want to play short-handed, and TT's car is in the shop. So Bill and I ended up playing heads up last night.

I'm sure the holiday was the reason, but I was at Excalibur on Jan 2, hoping that game would run. The list never got past 3 or 4 while I was there so I gave up and took off. I was there relatively early though so maybe it went later? Hopefully next time I'm in vegas this game will have built a larger foothold and maybe run more often.

How does the game play? does it play looser or tighter then online? Online there are so much fish stacking off with non nut straights, non nut flushed, two pair, under sets and under full houses. Is this the case in live PLO games in las vegas?

Hopefully this Thursday game revives a bit - I was hoping to play in it (most likely dumping chips the whole time) when I come to Vegas for the last week of January...

Yes, usually I am the guy who is risking his staff but I seem to be picking up bluffs more often than not with my 4'th and 5th nut hands :-) There is a lot of action in this game, most pots are multiway.

secret to Vegas games -

1) always be willing to play shorthanded, if you are then you will usually get the game started

2) once a game is started stragglers often sit in. Build it, and they will come.


PS: true my car was f'ed this week but I am not a committed weekly player, I'll come whenever I have free time but I am not guaranteed. Jeff's a friend, the game is fun, and I want to support the game hence I try to show up but its not guaranteed.

Full game last night with a little backup. Some old faces came back, some new faces arrived, and the game is on.

Not trying to kill your guys action, but in case anyone is interested we had a $5/10 PLO(with $20 Mississippi Straddle on button) last night at the Wynn, and we're going to try to get it again this Monday around 8:00.

Game on tomorrow (Thursday) at 8 p.m. Had a full game last week with some backup, and there was another game on Friday as well (and maybe other days since, but I don't know). We are expecting a few new players tomorrow, so I expect a full game again, and perhaps a second game as well.

The third one (not available online yet), but in current hard copy of CardPlayer goes into detail on several hands Jeff plays with TT. I wish I knew more about PLO strategy so I could make fun of TT's play.

We had a full game last night start at 7:45 p.m., with a second table six-handed at 8 p.m. The second game eventually got to eight-handed, so we are going pretty good. Plus I heard there was a $5/$10 PLO going down the Strip at the Wynn. I figure we get enough players in this game to get their feet wet, the game in general will start to pick up speed in general elsewhere as well.
