Yep .. happens .. you're just hoping that you've got a strong Dealer at the table to lesson the heat you really shouldn't be facing. GL

TX, unfortunately I got a weak ass one and he actually kinda sided with the idiot on the button..oh the irony. I complained his ass to management and they let him have it internally. So frustrating when idiots don't know the rules and start yelling at you when they should really look in the mirror.

I was playing cash live and some other guy in EP bets ott, so I call in MP and the fat ass guy calls in the button. Otr, it's checked around but when it's on the fat ass guy, he just tables his cards, so I'm waiting for the EP guy, who takes FOREVER to show, he finally does and then I snap show as I'm the winner. This is where the fat ass dude gets angry at me...like wtf dude, he's the guy who put himself in that position, just follow procedure, check and wait for EP to show, and he's going nuts thinking *I* somehow slowrolled him? GTFOH.
When this happens and I’m in your position, I say “I can beat that” so btn knows he’s toast. (Not that I’m suggesting you should do same.) Then I wait for first to act to show or muck. If he can’t beat button he’d most likely muck. If he can and doesn’t know if he can beat me then I wait. If he motions like he has nothing much and it’s obvious I’m the winner, I’ll just show. This assumes EP not a dick at the table. If he is then muck or show bro.

I play mostly 1/2, 1/3 where the info is usually moot.

Yeah, agreed, that's what I've learnt to do since some ppl at the table are such fragile souls thinking everyone is out to get them or diss them or something. It's annoying but I've learned to deal with these (self-inflicted) idiots who make things harder/difficult for other ppl who are only there to have a good time and maybe make some money.

The funny thing is OBVIOUSLY I can beat the button or else I'd snap muck as soon as I saw his hand...why the hell would I still be holding onto my hand? Again, slowroll is not applicable here. So it doubly shows what an idiot he is. Anyway, to avoid any future problems, I can readily adapt and tell the idiot showing out of turn.

you didn't slow roll him but there is also nothing wrong with him showing his hand fast. he shouldn't have gotten angry at you though.

Agreed, I don't have a prb with him showing his hand to speed things up or whatever he likes to do, but to turn around and get angry at me is laughable, because he put *himself* in that position.

I see all the who/what/where/when/how but none of the "why" behind showing first. IMO people hesitant to show their cards are simply embarrassed of their holdings. Do I really need to see that they called preflop with T2s? Probably not, because if my pair of 9's is good on 3 streets then I obviously had the right read. Would I like to know just how loose they are? Sure, but not at the expense of humiliating them out of the game, or making them tighten up now that they have been exposed to everyone at the table. At times I haven taken the stance of verbally exclaiming "show or fold" when it's on them but these days if I'm fairly confident I have the winner and they stall I just show. If I have the obvious nuts then I insta show regardless of the action. If someone has been harassing me and making absurd bets forcing me to call them allin several times then I might say "i want to see what you made me put $1000 in there with!" to express how difficult it was for me to call regardless of if it's true or not.

If you vary your game who cares? It'll either show you made a decent play or took a flyer. Unless you are always doing one of those it won't really give useful informative. You can use it to your advantage.
