Donking it up at 2/4 limit at the IP in Vegas with 3 of my friends just to get drunk while we were waiting for some friends.

A few beers in and several orbits of the three of us playing and raising almost every single street of every hand everyone is laughing wih us and gambling it up.

Then I go to take a huge swig of beer and as I'm throwing out a limp -4 bet my brother says 'nice play Daniel' and I spray beer all over the two guys next to me.

No one was very happy-go-lucky after that.

Second best was me near blackout drunk and after some weird action pre-flop end up having two guys all in ahead of me for 150bb+ and me having to decide if I have good enough pot odds to call with my J5dd. I think to myself... maybe they both have AK and ... call.

They both flip AA and are laughing at me.

Flop comes all diamonds, they stop.

I scream for no diamond, no diamond comes, I scoop.

At the Borgata with a few friends of mine, circa late 2006/early 2007. I was fairly new to live poker at that point; this was maybe the second or third time I had played in a casino. I'm playing in a 2/4 LHE game (balla!), running badly, and probably playing poorly as well. For whatever reason, I hadn't been drinking. As I took what seemed like my millionth cooler/bad beat/suckout that evening, I leaned back a little in my chair and instantly found myself on my back with my legs in the air. I had forgotten that the Borgata's chairs have wheels.

I'm sure that, at that moment, it looked like I had been drinking.

Don't really have anything good to add for dumbest thing I have done, but I have one for dumbest thing done against me. The gist of it is that I'm on a flop of K62r with less than 50bb and old guy donk leads..there is a caller and I shove over the top and one guy snap reshoves and I immediately think "fml". Old guy tanks forever before folding, and the guy I'm all in with doesn't flip over his cards but I see him look at them with some weird expression and as the dealer puts out a 4 on the turn and he mutters out "you're not gonna believe this, but..." - dealer puts out another K and I'm just waiting for it - "...I thought I had pocket deuces" and he tables 44

Nh sir

Playing 2/2 PLO in Nottingham I raised pre with AKQJds, got several callers and of course completely whiff the flop.

It gets checked to the river with the board showing something like 8855x and eventually I bluff at it figuring no-one has an 8 or a 5 and I can represent AA.

Noob player calls and I insta muck knowing I can't beat anything. While I'm mucking he declares he has a 5 but then turns his cards over and has K-high instead.

Years ago, I didn't table my royal flush (nobody called my river bet). Would have won a Foxwoods jacket if I had.

Still waiting to hit another royal flush.

I almost did the same thing playing the Taj 5/10 O8 game. Luckily, one of the regs said jokingly, "Must have had the royal!" And of course I showed so he could get an extra laugh out of it. As it turns out, showing it got me 200 comp dollars and two passes to the Chairman Club, which is the Taj's complimentary food/drink lounge for preferred customers.

River completes my flush, villain pots, I think about it for a bit but only call because he looked pretty strong. He shows the A-high flush, I want to muck but tilt-table my hand to complain a bit. Dealer looks at my cards at least three times to verify I really had a straight flush. Only then me and the rest of the table realize it. Less funny sidenote: We had like 150-200BB eff. behind and I don't think he would have folded.

Besides that, everytime I see a card hitting the board that I thought was one of my holecards.

When I was new to live poker I once folded a full house (Aces full of 5s) when I focused on the four hearts on the board pwning my pocket As. At least I learned that if 'm in a hand, I might as well table my cards at showdown.

Grinded my 500 stack to something like 2500. Flopped a set on a board with a potential straight. Woman in the 9 seat raises, me, I don't think she has much of a stack, so I shove without really thinking. Turns out she had like 1500 behind and has the straight. Oops.

That's what you get for playing poker against David Blaine.

1-2 table at the Venetian....I had a few beers so went to take a leak. Came back in time to catch a hand....was dealt AA and 3 bet an early position raise. That was when I realized I was not in my seat but 2 tables away.

Thankfully EP folded and I apologized for being in wrong seat. Everyone there cracked up & the rightful player showed up in a few minutes to learn he was a few bucks richer.

I'm still glad EP didn't 4 bet or something ridiculous.

I had a free night at a local Indian casino, so me and my brother decided to get drunk while playing low limit NL hold'em. I was pretty tanked when I looked down to 88 in the bb. I raised and a couple people saw the flop with me. 8 - 10 - J rainbow. I bet 2/3rds the pot, got one caller. Turn, 2, I'm all-in. Villian calls. River 5. I flip my cards over with confidence, because I know my set is good. Dealer announces " pair of 8's" I look down with horror to realize that like another poster itt, I misread a 3 for an 8. Right as this tidal wave of embarrassment is about to engulf me, the villian mucked his hand. So instead of being embarrassed, I played it off, like I knew that one pair was good the whole way.

Only a few weeks ago was playing my second live tournament (but have been playing online for 5 or 6 years, so should have known better). Had something like A10 and was on the button. Flop came AAJ, which was nice, I got bet into and raise a little, he calls. Turn comes another J and for some reason I thought a single jack would beat me He bets into me again and I call, river comes a blank, he bets again and after a little thought, call but tell the table that because of my bad luck recently, I'm expecting him to have a jack and him beat me ............... oh the fun they made of me and the expletives I called myself To lighten the blow, I did end up winning the tournament

Was playing really tired one night in my bi-weekly league game. I had JJ in SB. limped to me I made a raise and only the button called. Flop came down JT7... I mucked my hand inexplicably. as my cards fell on the muck pile and the pot was being shoved toward my opponent he showed pocket 77 for a flopped lower set, suddenly I had an epiphany that I had held a set of Jacks and made the evn bigger mistake of saying it outloud.

Needless to say the guy said i would have gotten his entire stack. Everyone in the league, including me still busts my chops about it 2 years later.

I always tell myself I was folding to avoid his rivered quads....

1/2 NLHE with a max 100 buyin. I have around $350 in front. In the BB I get dealt J-J. UTG+1 raises to $8. Button calls, SB calls. I decide to just call as well. Flop comes J97 with 2 clubs. I set my trap and check the flop. UTG+1 bets out $15. Button calls, SB folds. I spring my trap and raise to $40. UTG+1 only has about $100 behind. He starts to push them forward a little. I eyeball the stack and count it out to around $100. He finally announces "all-in" and shoves his stack of $100 over the betting line. The button instamucks. I instacall. Not only does UTG+1 have 10-8, he also has a flush redraw. Oh, and BTW, he had another $200 behind that I didn't see. River and turn bricks for me and I end up shipping my entire stack.

$200 rebuy tournament at a private club in Austin. These tourneys only got about 30-35 players but the structure was good and there were enough rebuys that first prize was >$5K.

After rebuy period and I'm in for $600 and have a large stack and have been playing aggressively. Folds to me on button and I 2.5x it with 5s7s. SB folds and BB calls. BB is the second best player at the table with 2nd biggest stack and we've played a lot of hands against each other in the last 12 months. Flop comes 3s5hTs. BB checks, I c-bet for 1/2 pot, he makes it 2.5x my bet. We both still have a lot behind and I tank for a bit. I realize I'm tanking too long but push anyway and I know I look really weak. He calls after about 30 secs and shows me AsJh. I turn over my 5s7s for mid-pair flush draw and realize I'm way ahead. Board bricks out for both of us and I get ready to rake the pot and take a huge chip lead.

SB says "wow, A-high takes a huge pot, great call."

"What, I have a pair."

"Where?"

I look down as I say, "A pair of fives" and realize that instead, I had 4s7s.

Doh!

Playing 5/10. Dealer throws one card a little strangely so that it sorta flashed. Guy hasn't looked at the card yet and asks if anybody saw it. I didn't see what card it was, but thought I saw hearts. I say "I saw red". Dealer tells the guy to flip the card over. It's the Ace of Spades. Oops. Everybody was pretty amused.

A while ago at the Borgata, playing 1/2 NL, I get dealt pocket 9's and hit my set on the flop. I bet and get a couple callers. The turn pairs the board, and I bet again with one caller. The river completes a straight and flush, and I make a feeler bet. Other player makes a small re-raise, and I tank for awhile and eventually make a crying call, dejected that my trips got rivered. Other player turns over a rivered straight. I say something like "nice hand, i had trips" and go to muck, but at the last second, I table my hand to show everyone why I had tanked and how unlucky I was. To my surprise and his credit, the dealer quickly pulls my cards up and pushes me the pot. It took me a few moments to realize I had a full house and felt like jerk for accidentally slowrolling (luckily the other player was good-natured about my mistake).
