My home casino has 2 dealers that "hole card" or unintentionally expose cards by accident

Both of them tilt the deck 30 to 45 degrees and are right handed dealers

I was laying back slouching in my chair ( Seat 3 ) one day, there is a new dealer, and all of a sudden i am getting shown every card as long as i remain slightly slouched low

I see every single card that comes out... now they are moving fast so i cannot distinguish jack of spades versus jack of clubs, but i can see it is a black broadway card clearly... maybe the 9 of diamonds appears to be an 8 or 10 if it is moving fast but i see every single card

I said "hey bro you are exposing all the cards"

Response: "No I'm not I have been dealing 20 years"

I proceed to crush 50% of the hands until he leaves the 1/2 table and i stack up like $350 and when he leaves i get up to rack up and cash out.....

A guy at the table: "could you really see the cards?"

Me: "Remember when I said I can see all the hole cards, well I could see all the hole cards"

.... 3 weeks later he sits down at my table but now I am in seat 8 so I cannot see the cards.

I get mad and tell the floorwoman this guy is exposing every card

She says "no he isn't"

So now I have told him, 7 players who are regs, and the floor manager (and posted on 2+2 lol) so I am officially not responsible for anything that happens going forward.

There is also a female dealer there who does this but not as bad. Everybody loves her and she is 1 of the 3 favorite female dealers by all regs.

I told her she is hole carding and i can see the cards. She said "no you can't" I said "the guy next to me has 2 diamonds one is a 4 of diamonds" He gets mad at me and says "wtf"...i said "are you listening to the conversation i just told her i can see the cards she is dealing."

Anyways seat 2, 3 and 4 are my favorite now.... but especially 3

If you want to stop this from happening, you're doing it wrong. What you need to do is start calling out all the cards as they are dealt. The other players will do the work for you. One pissed off player, no big deal to the floor. 8 pissed off players at a table, the floor is going to have to do some explaining to the room manager.

I would tell the DC not the floor. The floor doesn’t necessarily know how to deal mechanically and what constitutes a violation or house procedure. The DC is able to give the feedback if needed.

If they don’t have a traditional dc and the floor isn’t listening to you, I would escalate this to the poker room director/manager. If they don’t have one of those, casino management.

Dealer coordinator. The one who tells dealers where they are in the rotation and what table to go to. They are also usually responsible for communicating procedure changes with staff and giving coaching/write ups.

Interesting. I’m sure that there’s no standardized term for it that’s just what we called them at my casino. And I’m not even sure that all casinos have them (?) which is why I also think there are other people you might have to talk to if the floor doesn’t care.

The floor should care. But I agree with just announcing whatever you can see for more effective results. However, if it is only possible to see by slouching down, just don't do that and keep an eye out for anyone else doing it.

So the last time he sat down to deal @my table(1-2nl) I could tell he looked at me like "i hope this guy doesn't start with me"

So i don't even look at him for 10 minutes straight and (in my mind)he probably starts thinking "phew he doesn't know it's me"

Then i win like a $200 pot and I didn't tip him anything and he probably thought "oh yeah, he knows its me"

So I think what I am going to do is request a seat transfer thing and move as close to seat 3 as possible next time

Supervisor titles and duties vary quite a bit by room. Sometimes bigger rooms have a dedicated DC. Many/most rooms do not, and most people you see walking around in suits aren't set up to deal with something like this.

Bravo should list the room manager's email. I would start there. I might take a video first showing how high they're pitching the cards. Maybe get it from a couple of angles.

If you're in the room a lot you can try asking for them by name, or ask them who deals with dealer issues and see if that's someone who is available to talk. Unfortunately some rooms have absentee managers so they might not be easy to track down in person.

There are plenty of threads discussing how to handle what to do when cards are exposed and Player remains in the hand.

This should be no different. It's pretty easy .. you announce and do what you can to avoid repeating the issue .. like not slouching during the deal. GL

DCs usually aren't required until you have 60+ tables. Less than that, the Manager of the room can handle all the DC duties.
