Was thinking about taking a trip there but Bravo doesn't show the game running. I called the poker room and they said it no longer runs every day, which seems odd. I was there about 5 months ago and it was an every day game.

You'd think that between Com/Bike/Hustler you could find a 'good enough' PLO game. The Blinds never seem to matter in PLO, just how deep you're allowed to BI for.

I did notice that when Hustler run PLO on stream that a lot of the Players are from out of town.

Not quite the same scenery, but if you want to spend a weekend in Detroit you will find plenty of PLO at MGM. One of the Hustler Players is a Reg there. The Floors are typically very helpful if there's a 'higher than normal game' running soon. You might even end up playing against a PLO WSOP bracelet winner. The game can run from Fri evening through Sunday depending on whose winning/losing and what else is going on .. just like any other casino games. The game is run in the smaller of the two poker rooms where only PLO and Higher NL run .. and is roped off a bit to keep the rail at a distance. GL


PS .. I can only imagine what will be going on at MGM when the NFL draft hits Detroit April 25-27.

Yeah, Detroit has great PLO. I know the bracelet winner you're referring to - Dash. I played in a home game with him for years.

the main "fun players" in the $10-20 went broke/are playing smaller. We had a 24 hour $5-5-10 game going this week. the PUBLIC plo player pool in los angeles is very small compared to other markets, not a lot of deep pocket recreational whales to go around and they get eaten up very quick. add to that the casino would rather these people play other games that rake more and PLO is a tough business in LA. Basically, if i big player comes in a game will spring up immediately and if not, no game or smallish game.

dash and that kid that won the main event (ryan?) were semi-regs in my PLO game at the bike 2010-2016. dash' wife was even a dealer in the game for a while. cool dudes.

Check the 5/5 1k PLO mix over at HollyPark (PLO, PLO8, $15 Double Bomb PLO). Routinely seeing 5 figure stacks.

Was in Detroit over the weekend .. Dash says "Hello' (He thinks he knows who you are) and Firaz says come on and join us! Not sure the exact stakes, but they were playing $5K min (uncapped) BI PLO Friday night and a 5/10 PLO game started at the same table at 6pm (?) on Saturday night. The Friday game went on sort of a mini-break around 240am so a couple of Players could get something to eat .. not sure when it broke. I have seen weeks where both the big game and the 5/10 are running. I told them to start doing some homework and/or talking to the Floors about how they are going to handle the influx of people for the Draft.

PLO is not as strong as it used to be for the same reasons as stated above .. the Players who are left are playing less often. The Pool Players that are left have gotten better at the game, which makes it harder for any newbie to survive the entry into being a Reg.

I last played in Detroit a year ago and the 3/3 PLO games were tighter with no real marks in them this time around. I'll have to get to Rivers in Chicago to see how things are going over there. Rivers was a gold mine for PLO the 7-10 sessions I've been there .. way behind the skill level of any game in MI. GL

ya, the smaller game at commerce is great too, the dude was asking about the bigger game which was running closer to 10-20-40 and is basically gone now. the other games around town are often plo5 big O and other stuff which is also burning out quick. Bigger games that go are horrible lineups built around one huge whale in general for regular PLO. the more exotic variants are always good because the grinders are fishy too but they burn out fast as grinders get up to speed.
