@lossage, I remember the first time I played in CA -- the blue 1's and yellow 5's were really wacky to me having started in AC (here they're white and red, respectively).

@Rapini preach. I play in Chicago and Vegas, with colors as God intends: white/blue, red, green, black, purple. When I first had a decent night visiting California, a chip runner asked if I wanted him to get me some white chips, and I thought he was just trolling me.

IDK, I've read that here a few times, but I just find in a 1/2 game that stacks of $50 are easier to cut out raises & such. maybe I'm just neurotic, lol

Stacks of 50 chips have serious seismic stability issues.

Under 100 chips should be stacked in 20s. If you can do three stacks, 30s is okay in a tight triangle. Build that out to a prism of 6x30 or 10x30. 10x40 is pretty precarious still - I go out to 15x30 before I put the attic on.

Never had more than 15x40 chips so not sure what to do after that. Anything wide than 15 is probably impolite with respect to elbow room.

yeah i was thinking the same... white/blue $1, red $5, green $25, black $100, purple $500

what is with this insane color change? ive mainly only seen this in california casinos. is there any particular reason for it???
