Showboat's bad beat jackpot was just over 200K as of Monday night. Room didn't seem any more crowded than normal.

How many tables does Bally's poker room have? Normally, will it have games going at say 7am tomorrow morning?

has anyone been to Bally's/seen poker room traffic increase now that it appears the Jackpot is up above 400k and the qualifying low hand is quad deuces or better?

Good. Now I won't be tempted to go there instead of Borgata this weekend.

Royal flush over quad queens. Room share was $1,736.

The BBJ reset (because of substantial reserve amount) at something like $214,000.

Quad 2s are the qualifier - but only until Tuesday or so when the Bad Beat Jackpots of all 4 Harrah's properties combine. All 4 rooms will get paid regardless of where it hits. Should be interesting, if nothing else.

On the Bally's site under poker:

Quote:
**On or after August 23, 2010 and pending Casino Control Commission approval, the Bad Beat jackpots at the four Harrah’s Atlantic City properties will be combined into one multi-casino bad beat jackpot that patrons at all four properties will compete for. See posted four property Rules of the Game for a multi-casino bad beat jackpot.

Basically, the percentages will be 30% to the losing hand, 20% to the winning hand, with the remaining 50% divided equally among all cash game hold em players who do not have a missed blind button.

There will be a minimum of $100 paid out as a group share to all players, including those who hold the winning and losing hand.

There will be a signal sent to all rooms as soon as a potential BBJ hand is recognized. Phone calls will also be made.

An announcement I received from Harrah's Corp. states:

"As of today, Tuesday, August 24 The Total Bad Beat Jackpot is approximately $524,045
and Growing!"

All 4 properties are now officially joined into one big Bad Beat Jackpot. Everyone playing a cash hold 'em game will be paid, so long as they don't have a missed blind button.
