Jesus Rapini, how long did this take before you couldn't stand not posting your rude, snarky, bull-s back in the MGM thread. Do you even play there? Or do you just enjoy using your job as mod here to piss all over everyone in this thread?

I wasn't being rude or snarky. I was asking how the floor reacted so I knew whether it was an issue Johnny needed to correct with the floor or whether it was another situation where Johnny had been made aware but was going to basically explain the problem away.

Read the response the guy wrote and Johnny's response to the situation to see why the question needed to be asked.

But I understand how much fun it must be for you to rag on me constantly for normal participation in the thread, so carry on.

Serious question: Do you not think it's snarky to ask what happened when you talked to a floor person when you don't know if he did or not? You obviously stated it that way to point out that in your opinion he should have talked to the floor at that time instead of using this forum to raise the issue. Do you think it might have seemed less smug if you simply asked him if he raised it to the floor's attention, or to simply state that you think that might have been a better approach? Or do you think it's better to try to take a jab at someone for actually raising a legitimate issue on a forum thread created for that purpose (among others)?

I realize this is an internet forum, on top of that, it's 2+2, on top of that, you're Rapini, so we all expect it at this point, but don't be surprised when you get called out on it.

Rapini, you have not had normal participation in that thread since it started, give us a break. The thread ran fine for a short period of time where you took a break from posting in it but clearly that time is over.

I've said my piece to the other mods. But I'm not going to get in a debate on whether you are a constructive member of that thread or not. You clearly have the support of the 2+2 higher ups and thats all that really matters in this case.

I'm not surprised nor will I avoid questions on it. Its hard to explain how he's treated other members of that thread over the last two years. Just scroll back a couple of pages - or maybe one page - in *this* thread to see other examples.

It probably looks fine on its face if you dont know his history in this thread or the way he's treated people for the last couple years.

Again, I'm fine with getting called out on it. I dont think anyone from that thread would come in here defending him though.

edit - Seven different posters on the last page confirming the same kind of behavior from him in our thread. And those are posts from a couple months ago. It seemed like he was asked to take - or voluntarily took - a break from posting there. Clearly that time is over now.

Uh, my post was directed at Rapini, not you dcmidnight. It was actually in support of you out of exasperation that Rapini continues to troll 2+2 members for years and somehow they keep him around.

Again, it's fine if people want to bash me for making posts that I think are helpful and they don't think are helpful. And this is the right place to blow off steam about how terrible I am. But you also should recognize that the post I responded to was bad because it didn't contain information that could have allowed Johnny to take action or give a reasonable explanation regarding what happened.

dcmidnight, I don't know what you're talking about re taking a break from the forum or particular threads or whatever. Could you be more specific?

It's always weird when someone's pent up frustrations come out in a spot as benign at this.

Hey remember when the mods shut down an off topic digression about taxes after like 2 posts? Why are they now allowing this ridiculous debate to continue on for dozens and dozens of posts? This thread is not for debating. If you don't have a funny story to tell, stop posting. Debate in PM.

If you see a post or posts needing moderation, please report it, don't post about it.

(In your defense, you did also report it, which is the reason it got cleaned up. But I'd rather not have to do the extra work to deal with your post complaining about the lack of moderation too.)

On the subject of the absurd thinking thread, I tend to treat that thread like a low content thread to begin with, because I personally think reading it is a waste of time. But even if I didn't, the mods don't read every thread in the forum and subforum. If you think something needs moderation, the thing you should do about it is hit the report button to notify us.

just because a mod disagrees with a point of view shouldn't be reason to ban or delete.

sure I get it you all have views as do we, if you disagree that strongly get another mod to oversee.

My actions against you had nothing to do with my point of view (which I never even expressed), I'm as objective as people get. I temped you because, after a political derail started in a casino thread and I told everyone to stop it, you ignored me and posted about it again.

I moderate fairly lightly and rarely wear my mod hat these days, so when I do put it on, people are really messing up.

I took a look at the thread in question and I agree with Lattimer's tempban of you. I also probably would have given one to one other poster, but I definitely would have given you one. And it would have had nothing to do with your politics, but rather your posting of politics in LCP.

I appreciate what you guys do and know its tough to draw a line somewhere
my issue was
there were 20+ posts allowed discussion's search legality , I was pointing out a different victim here and assumed since you were letting politics go on and on mine was fine also.

No, moderators are just posters like everyone else, who have volunteered their time to help out on the forums. If a requirement of moderating was that people no longer post, or change the way they post, we'd have a hard time finding any.

Even after a few years of the room opening if he doesn’t even know that they run daily tournaments on federal holidays, may be he is not that good at this moderation gig!

If he does know then he should realize that what I am asking is not to start a new event but to change the existing one. In which case he shouldn’t be posting incorrect posts/responses.
