Australian guy thinking of travelling to Manila in February for about two weeks. I have some concerns for my safety, (being robbed) when trying to get around Manila as I have been advised never to carry large amounts of cash on me, while there. This makes it a bit hard to get to different casinos and card games around the city. Can someone who has spent some time in Manila please advise me on safety issues, no go areas, and safest ways to get to various venues in Manila. Sorry if I posted this in the wrong Forum. Thanks.

Reason: Incorrect title
Just use grab (SEA uber) to and from hotel and leave your moneys/casino chips in the hotel safe before indulging in nightlife, visiting tourist sites etc. In the casinos and in the area where most of the casinos are is very safe.
I actually prefer taxis to grab, as they are actually cheaper. Just make sure they use the meter. But grab is fine and inexpensive as well. Manila strikes me as a very safe city so I wouldn't worry too much about it, although if you are wandering around drunk (you did say you were Australian) that is another story. You may be able to open an account at the casino. One issue is that all the casinos here allow smoking so the air is terrible. There is a card club, Metro Card Club, in Pasig, which is non smoking.
Cheap Macau gambling zone is beautiful, spectacular, unforgettable and ... expensive. In Asia, the gambling zone should have appeared more accessible to ordinary players and tourists. And she appeared in Manila.
By itself, the capital of the Philippines is not too attractive. The city suffers from air pollution, and open dumps of industrial and domestic waste do not contribute to attracting tourists. Several rivers within Manila are considered biologically dead. If it were not for the casino and other entertainment facilities, then no one would go to the capital.
everything is in the mall of asia area. you can grab a free coach from MOA to City of Dreams,Okada and Solaire. or just get a taxi from the same area for 100 peso
