Casino games Christmas weekend

As a general rule, how would local 1-2 or 1-3 games be today? Filled with “pros” because everyone else is prepping for Christmas? Or still full of casual players too because people are off and may be visiting from out of town?

My local wa busier than usual last night and would likely expect the same today. Tomorrow could go either way I think with Christmas Day likely being relatively quiet. Obv depends a lot on location though

Look for holiday promotions. One of my local rooms was running a big promo this weekend. There were almost 40 tables running when there is usually only 14-15.

Busier than normal surprisingly. Only thing I can think of is that men don't spend as much time on Xmas as women do and poker players are predominantly male.

This really could be a crap shoot ... I agree that you will see the single regs/pros since they may have no where to go for a long period of time. But I think you will see a lot of weak rec players who will be sitting down for a quick session being from out of town as well. Just be wary of the 'cash-n-dash' from those players! GL

At approximately 10am nitty old regs will crowd the list to find out why the hell their game isn't running yet (as they do every day at that time). It will be pointed out that these games very rarely have enough interest to be opened until a few minutes later. This explanation won't suffice. They'll be told it's Christmas ****ing morning don't worry the games will open in due time. They'll grudgingly accept this but not without letting their displeasure be known.
By around noon the lists are growing steadily and games are being opened up with a mixed bag of players. The action is hit or miss.
Things slow down around dinner, a couple tables might break.
In the evening it starts to get very busy. Some tables luck out and have a ton of action. Most are average. The high stakes game that usually runs once a week (occasionally for a couple days) has a decent chance of running and with a couple rec players popping in has a good chance of lasting.
The room stays pretty busy until after new year's day.
Weather plays a huge factor at my room. I expect traffic to be below Xmas average this year (lots of snow).

A quick check of Bravo Xmas morning showed an extra table or 2 at the rooms that actually had a game going as compared to a 'normal' Sunday morning. So it was feast or famine. GL
