Some people hold strange beliefs about what a healthy partnership looks like.

Some would say you need to check out what she did in the latest episode of HSP when she was in the middle of JRB and Dwan in a PF raising war. GL

I was very excited to learn this weekend that there is skiing/snowboarding (I prefer snowboarding) within a half hour from Harrah's Cherokee. All these years, and I never knew! We are planning a trip at the end of the month. I've never been to Harrah's Cherokee, either, although I've driven near it a few times on the way to visit family.

Poker is open with masks and plexiglass, and all slopes/lifts are open, too

There have been some road trips for Players from Michigan that ended up down there. Not one negative word. Not sure the status of it, but there was a 'South Carolina' casino that was approved .. but it had to be built in North Carolina! So eventually there will be competition down there and hopefully they survive. GL

What? Really? I need to find out more. I didn't think either state had casinos, but maybe SC does on water (ocean cruises). Isn't Cherokee on an Indian reservation?

Yes Cherokee is on reservation in NC. The new Carolina casino is also planned to be on reservation. Not sure in which state now though. I think I saw that SC had a membership card room similar to Tx.

Poker is alive and well. Had been playing for four hours, very tight -- almost no raises pre from me (card dead). Finally raise from UTG+1 to $15 (9-handed, 1/3) w/ AQs and get called to my direct left w/ K5o, HJ w/ QhJh (legit), and SB w/ K5o! LOL. K5 hit a straight on the river and both paid off the QJ, which rivered a flush. (I folded flop.)

I had to leave early, but wish I could have stayed all night. Remained card dead but won $150 on bluffs and bomb pots (and one c-bet with top pair).

Small procedure question...

Hero on button bets turn. Original UTG calls heads up. Hero has A-10 on a A-2-9-J board. H is putting UTG on A-rag but a J is also possible.

River comes a 9 to pair the board and counterfeit H kicker and goes check check. I immediately table. The dealer pushes up the A-9-9 but not the J kicker. V looks like he thinks H 10 kicker plays and. Then mucks.

Should dealer have pushed up the J kicker on the board?

The dealer should push all cards that make the hand, which includes the J here. It's weird that the dealer pushed three of the four significant cards.

V has no cause though.

Either push up nothing or push up all four. Preferably all four. Pushing up 3 is certainly a procedural error. Still, player has to protect their own hand and read the hands for themselves.

Follow up question-If you are a player not involved in the hand, do you point out that the J plays? Of course, we all know to correct a dealer when he misreads a board declares a hand incorrectly, but is pushing up the wrong cards the same as a misdeclaration, or would speaking up here be a violation of OPTAH?

As a player, you don't have any responsibility to say anything unless a hand actually gets misread. In this situation I would have to keep my mouth shut unless the dealer actually misread the hand. I don't think you would get in trouble if you said "I think you pushed up the wrong cards, dealer."

If V hasn't tabled his hand, I don't say anything unless an explicit misread.

If V tabled his hand, cards speak and I would of course speak if I would see the dealer push the pot the wrong way (instead of a split).

Every Dealer has some things they do slightly different than others. My guess is that most of them in my area that actually do push cards wouldn't even push the 9s unless there was a delay in the other hand being tabled .. only the Ace.

As a Player you shouldn't say anything UNLESS something is 'said' wrong by the Dealer .. until all hands are 'properly' tabled. Once all hands are tabled then it's the 'table's' responsibility to make sure the pot goes to the correct Player.

I love to talk (shocker) .. so I've trained myself to STFU until the Dealer actually starts to move the pot .. doesn't work all the time (shocker). GL

Lattimer and I met up in person for the first time last night, to drink beers and finalize our plans to take over all of 2+2. Say your final goodbyes to your friends and families.

Outstanding! Two plus two would be in good hands. Few are really aware of the commitment of time and energy it takes to mod, and you guys have Done a great job for a long time. Keep up the great work.

Hoping someone can help answer a question for a friend. My buddy drove in to Vegas from California and forgot his ID. He's well over 50 so not likely it's a problem except he wants to play low buy-in daily tournaments and won't be able to print a players card. Do any casinos on or near the strip that are currently running tourneys allow play without a players card? Thanks in advance.

Even if he's allowed to play he may not be able to get paid without an id. Best stick to cash games or figure out a way to get his id.

I lost my drivers license while in Vegas recently.

I asked the Venetian if I would be allowed to play without it (I do have a player's card). They said yes. So I asked what would happen if I cashed. And they said I would need a couple of ID's preferably one that had a picture on it (I have a credit card that has my picture on it).

I think the only way to find out is to tell them what happened and to ask what type of ID they would accept in order to either get a player's card or be allowed to enter the tourney.

If he does ask I am curious what happened next...

Not sure the source, but I've always kept my most recent expired DL in my travel bag. I also keep my wife's last ID in my wallet.

My wife and I also keep a copy of our marriage license in each piece of luggage as well.

It did come in handy when my wife accidentally UPS'd her current ID (in a purse) back home from FL so we didn't have to take as much on the plane. We showed expired ID and marriage license and they said 'thanks' and let us through.

It may depend on the casino if they keep your facial when they issue a Player's Card. It may take some time, but I think you would be able to get through it if you approach them with the right attitude .. and some other 'cards' (Sam's/Costco, expired ID, even an insurance card you may store on your phone). It happened to a friend on a poker trip. He ordered a duplicate license online, and we printed out the temporary DL at the hotel business center and he was able to use it to get in (when carded). He had other supporting ID"s to back up his name.
