I loosened up way too much for all the wrong reasons and in all the wrong spots and it cost me. I've only been trying to play full time now for about 4 months. I have outside sources of income, but this is what I want to do. I also think I played too many hours trying to push through while subtly on tilt. Poker is a complex game.
I am not a pro...yet but if you have the tilt in you I would recommend really working on your own acceptance for there being bad beats. Once you can accept that you will stop playing poorly after bad hands very easily. learning not to tilt is a big part of learning poker. I am a rec player but a winning rec player, currently low stakes. So, I can not say if I lost a $500 pot hat I would not tilt, I just hope I won't as I do not anymore when I play now. Accept the variance, because I assure you that you have sucked out many times too.
