My jaw literally dropped when I went from a YTF post to 'RIP YTF' is two posts. Absolutely heartbreaking.

Damn. I once played at his table and figured out it was him just from his comments and demeanor at the table. He was very entertaining and a good technical dealer as well. Sad to hear the news.

Awful news. Thoughts with his kids. Just way too young. This thread popped up on my Tapatalk and I saw the last post was RIP Bobby and I was really hoping not him. His H&F log was an absolute classic.

I'm not sure I've ever been this sad about someone I didn't know passing away. Now I understand how people get upset when a celebrity dies. God, he was a legend, and he will be missed beyond words.

I've been looking at old YTF posts this morning. Here's a good one.

You know, the usual, "I hope you keep playing like that, you'll go broke, blahblahblah..." After several minutes, the dealer gave him a light-hearted suggestion to settle down, but there was no stopping this kid, until he won a pot with K2, then he shut up for a few minutes.

But it didn't take long until he got another big starting hand, raised every street, and lost on a Four Clubs Showing Board to a runner-runner flush. His opponent turned up one card at showdown, the Ace that gave him the nuts. The loudmouth tabled his KK for top set, bemoaned his bad luck. The runner-runner guy tossed his other hole card towards the muck, face down, and it may have even touched the muck.

Don't need the floorman, though, because loudmouth shouts, "I WANT TO SEE HIS OTHER CARD!" It's an offsuit 2. Loudmouth says, "Yeah, of course! A2o, nice. Idiot!" And stomps away in anger--either that, or he ran off because he's too much of a pussy to stand his ground after calling someone an idiot.

The dealer mucked the KK, pushed the pot to the A2o, and explained to him that he should show both his cards when he wants the pot pushed his way. The dealer added, "He cost himself that pot by demanding to see your other card. Makes you wonder, who's the idiot?"

***

PLAYER: (folds out of turn)

DEALER: Wait a second! Action's back here.

PLAYER: (angry with dealer) But you called my name! Why did you call my name, if it wasn't my turn?

DEALER: Your name is Wait A Second?
I'm gonna miss you, man.

Saw this around 4am early when I got home from work as I also work on swing shift and it was very upsetting but I couldn't post yet because I still couldn't process it.

YTF brought much joy to most of us in this thread and I can't believe that he's gone. We should all cherish the time we have and even though I never met Bobby I'm sure I speak for many of us when we all feel like we knew him well. Many situations would come up at work and I would think of a post by him and I would smile. So, so sad that he is no longer with us! I still can't believe it.

Please keep his family and friends in your prayers.

May he rest in peace.

If anyone has news about a service, please share with the thread or PM me. I doubt I can attend but I would like to send something or make a donation in lieu of such things if that is what they're doing.

According to his girlfriend, services have not been finalized. No information on donations.

Damn. YTF was the first dealer to ever sling me a card. He made playing limit poker a little less dreadful.

Thanks. I hit her up on Facebook and she was nice enough to accept my chat and allow me to give her my condolences. I asked her to tell me what was up when she knew (his daughters will be making the plans) and I will share information here. If she doesn't get it to me, no sweat. She's going through a lot and I won't give her something else to worry about.

I doubt I can go to any service but I do know I want to send flowers or donate in lieu of such a thing. If I hear that they can use money I'd start a GoFundMe but I don't know how necessary that will be, nor do I want to jump in where it isn't necessary.

I wish I could have met the guy.

Only talked to him in person a couple times, but he definitely seemed like a great guy. Certainly as colorful in person as he was behind the 2+2 screen. RIP YTF

Most sincere condolences to YTP's GF and kids.

Had the good fortune to connect with him in January, just as good a person and funny as you'd expect.

I'd also like to know about any donations or ways to help out if anybody gets some information.
