Binion's 1968 was it 2-4 seven-stud? Binion's 1968 was it 2-4 seven-stud?

If I remember correctly it was a 2-4 seven-card stud game at Binion's in 1968. My first casino poker game. Anyone remember what games were played then?

Holy **** Sherm, I was born way after 1968, as the vast majority of the people posting on this forum were. I'd love to help you out, but unfortunately I can't. What I will do is cross-post your question in the general Las Vegas forum to ask there and see if anyone has any info.

But if you'd be willing to share, I'd be very curious to hear any details or stories you still remember from those days. It seems like worlds away from today--50 years later--when we're grinding 1/2 no-limit holdem or gambling at pot-limit omaha--and it'd be fun to hear more.

binion's did not have a poker room in 1968.

there was no ongoing poker room at binion's until after they acquired the mint
in 1988.

According to the WSOP website, not only didn't Binions have a poker room, there were less than 50 poker tables in Las Vegas in 1970. You would have also been a fairly big player, since 2-4 would be now like a 15-30 game today.

I've heard/read from multiple people who played poker in Vegas in the 70s who were confused/amused that the smallest game available back then was the same 2/4 Limit game that's still around today.

Given the pictural history that shows 0.50/1 games listed in that era, I wouldn't believe everything a poker player writes/tells about events 50 years ago.
