Seen part 1 of this 13 poker documentary tonight on pokertube. All 13 parts are on youtube:

Seems ok, i watch quite a lot of poker videos and i had never seen this before. Mainly features Negreanu, Antonio, Doyle, MAtusow and Slim etc. with a load of other faces.

Highlight of the series is DN saying he doesn't understand why people would get sponsored and he doesn't want to have to wear patches etc.
I thought Phil Laak was pretty funny as well.

Yeah it looks pretty dated actually. Phil Ivey looks much younger than he is now and he actually bothered to rail a 150k match between Matusow and Negreanu. That's odd.

I watched first one - seemed pretty depressing really. I'll watch the rest but it definitely doesn't glamourise it. Poker's obviously a bit different these days due to the advent of internet/rakeback pros as you can now make $ without having to be a profitable player but it's still very similar in ways.

The episode all about Negreanu was a pretty good watch, as was the one about Amarillo Slim. A lot of the other ones follow Dutch Boyd and his stoner roomates around as they brag about winning some donkament for 10k, which put me to sleep tbh

Totally agree - DN - "Pff, Like I need the extra 20k for wearing a hat, I'll never do that cause I'm cool and not a sellout".

The voice over in between clips is SOOO horribly annoying

Ive seen this on Tv before, but never come across the links online. I absolutely love watching this and reminiscing. It's amazing! So many good bits. Wish they could do something similar again (not like the staged 2months2million - although that was good too).

Harman had a transplant. She was not fat, that is a consequence of anti-rejection meds that made her moon faced for a time.

Chip did have problems with weight though, he also played cards well too.

skimmed through it. i like how Mike Matusow says something to the effect of "I'm confident that there is nobody in the world who plays better than me!". made me lol
