Heading to Vegas Aug. 12-15, staying at Planet Hollywood. While I'll be sure to play cash games, I'd like to play some tourneys with buy-ins up to $150 w/ good structures, regardless of time of day. Any suggestions?
I love playing the tourneys w/ soft competition of course, but last time I kept picking the tourneys w/ crap structures (ie "shootouts" where the blinds rise ridiculous levels). Any suggestions on places w/ more online-like structures?
I like turbos, but hate this shootout crap where you're all in within a half hour because the blinds are eating you alive.
It looks like Planet Hollywood and Orleans have pretty good structures for lower buy ins. I might be in Vegas around the same time, so maybe I'll see you at the tables.

Thanks - those two links were exactly what I was looking for. I had been wondering about the Orleans, it seems like a lotta older folks stay there. I'm sure the Venetian is great and all, but hey, I hear good players talking about that card room. Now I'm confident I can hold my own, but maybe the Orleans has some more fish?
This site hasn't been updated since 2008. A lot has changed since then. For example: Binion's now has a $100 buy-in with 15,000 chips which started 2 weeks ago.

Orleans has a lot of locals that play there everyday. I wouldn't say it has more fish.

Venetian has mostly tourist fish with some local fish, Orleans is the reverse. In a low buyin tourney, they're pretty much all fish one way or the other.
The Aria's structures are pretty good, but relatively low turnout (at least for the 7 PM). I've yet to play at the Venetian, but I hear those are the best .

This is correct. Don't use this site anymore. I prepared a list of MTT's I wanted to play in Vegas based on that site. But when I arrived almost all tournaments had different starting times or buy-in's then mentoined on this site!
