Since a few days im at the Kings Casino and playing Tournaments and Chashgame. I was shocked about the Rake structure, specially in the lower stakes. 5% and 20€ cap at 1/3 means, you have almost no chance to win money. My biggest surprise was that they don't raise the rake if you play 2/5 or 5/10. The next higher rake comes at 10/25 (5%-25cap). These structure is ridicules for all recreational Players. It is a nice casino with a great free buffet and professional staff but all of this will be paid by the low stake players. I don't know if im alone with this opinion, but i don't go back to Kings Casino till they change the rake for my bankroll.
While it is true that the rake at Kings casino is a joke, there is no reason why the rake should increase with the limit, since they provide the same kind of service.
The rake issue is well known and you could have found out in advance by simple googling. It is highly unlikely to change anytime soon, at least for the better, lack of competition.
it’s basically the same rake you pay in Austria and Germany. I think the 1/2 rake at CCC is capped at 15€ and at Spielbank Berlin it’s 20€ at 2/2. And Kings casino offers a lot of free stuff on the side while you don’t even get free soft drinks in Germany and at least in some places even pay an entrance fee to enter the casino.
If that’s too high for you, there are two options. Don’t play or play higher stakes. The odds of the casinos lowering the rake are close to 0%.
Yep, but in Austria and Germany most of the rake goes directly to the tax man. Doesn't really make any difference to the customer obv but still something to consider
@FWWM - There are some changes if you play higher. You get free food from the Restaurant at the Entrance and also all drinks are free. But i don't wanna raise the Rake at the higher Limits. I want a playable 1/3 Table. 5% Max 10 € would be ok.
@Madlex - Its not true. You are right with Berlin. Its almost the same with less service, but there are Casinos in Germany with a normal Rake. Hamburg is a good example. - for me is just one Option possible. Don´t play anymore in Casinos like Berlin or Rozvadov. But i don't understand why the people doesn't go against this. During WSOP they have sometimes 20 Tables with 1/3.
