I don't know about this but i hear a lot of AC casinos offer this. Can someone tell me which casinos in AC offer this and how much it would cost for the day? I heard some stuff like you need to play 5 consecutive hours and the like for showboat will get you 59 dollar room rate?

i know that harrahs is 5 hours and the rate is $59..taj offers a $69 room during the week(sun-thurs) for 3 hours(maybe 5)..i also believe the tropicana is $59 midweek for 3-5 hours

the taj you can call in advance but call early..harrahs you have to be in the poker room to get it, they will not give u it over the phone. sometimes they will make you play for 5 hours that day before they give you the rate, depending on who is working

how many days advance for taj? Is the day i am going fine? Also whats the minimum limit i have to play? I heard 1/2 NL is good but does limit count?

I just called up you can get a room rate at ant Harrah's ent for 109 a night 6 hours of play. Just reserver your room first then play 6 hours. I am staying at caesars which now blows bc i much rather have played in the showboat to clear this.

so much is this discount really? IF you got a room at harrahs for 109 the weekday for 6 hours of play, how much would it cost without it? Is Showboat 59+ tax and Taj 69 plus tax on the weekday?

The Taj is $65 plus tax for weeknights. AFAIK there is no play requirement for that day, but I believe you have to have played some significant amount of time in the past to qualify for the rate. They have an $85 rate weekends but it is very difficult to get, at leasat during the summer (I play 10/20 almost every week and don't qualify).

Borgata has a weeknight poker rate of $100 plus tax; again you have to qualify by past play. Not sure what their weekend rate is; it is also very difficult to get.

Tropicana has reasonable poker rates that vary by night and time of the year, and are not that tough to get even on the weekends if you call a week or two ahead of time, but you have to qualify by having some play in the last 3 months, averaging at least 4 hours per day you have played during that time period.
