Hey fellow poker enthusiasts. I'm a long time lurker and infrequent poster. I mainly follow along over in Politics to get a much lighter take on the state of our union. At any rate, I got myself into a bit of a puzzle on Facebook. I use social media sparingly, mainly Reddit for news and politics. But I am trying to participate in this group and its only means of really communicating with anyone is via Facebook.
So, I'm a member in this closed group. There are group administrators that are overseeing things in one form or another. There are also members, of which I am one, who are interested in joining this group. I'm experiencing what I would describe as a "hazing" experience. There was one person I felt I could reach out to, someone whose identity was established before this FB world. We had never met or communicated, but I knew he was connected. Well, just so happens my lifeline happens to be an administrator in this group and he can't help me with anything bc he's got his hands full.
So, I have all these unknown actors and I'm operating in a social media platform that I don't really understand fully (I get the nuts & bolts of it), and I'm isolated. So, what to do....
I'm game theorizing FB and my little community. I've put a little time into it. I've reached out to a couple mods to discuss, bc I don't really ever post here. But they are busy, its a weekend, and nobody really plays poker anymore (I did last weekend!). At any rate, I'm looking to see if this is something anybody would want to follow. I've been reading a few of the stories from TrueStoryTeller and the degen saga (2 of them). I have the some kind of idea with this. I was going to post in POG, but that has been moved or has dissolved.
