Hello !

I'm working on my mental game and I'm becoming aware of my inner voice that really tells me stupid things in-game

Things like: "You need to be more aggressive! "in the middle of a "what's his range? What's my equity?". Thanks you inner voice !

And I just realized this good advice from my worst coach ever :
When I'm tired, after not sleeping well and playing too much, on a session that's getting more and more negative, I hear this: "okay, you're playing badly now, because you're tired and pissed off, but it's nothing : now that you've realized it, you'll breathe, refocus, open more tables if you want (because it's normal to be unfocused, you're bored) and you'll be able to play your a-game again, you just have to stop thinking too much. Play faster, it will get better".

Worst advice ever and that obviously I follow because I'm exhausted. How to throw buy-in away !

Do you too have some stupid and deleterious advice that your inner voice tells you?

Try different thoughts, like: he raised from EP with QTs, he limps and folds a lot, I have a history with him and he wants to bluff me, he knows this is a loose table and is a very strong player - respect his raise.

Apply your focus to how others are playing.
