Hey to those at Twoplustwo,
A little about me: My poker journey began in 2011, I was in my second year of Physiotherapy when I discovered the legendary Zynga Poker and it was here I developed my passion for the game. Over the next few years I played poker socially, but you could also find me in the micro stack sit and goes. Eventually I graduated from my bachelor of Physiotherapy at the end of 2013 and at the start of 2014 I made the move to Adelaide, Australia to further my career. During this time I was working as a physiotherapist 3-4 days a week and a lot of my spare time went into studying and playing poker. I eventually lost my passion for Physiotherapy and decided to pursue poker tournaments full time (29.07.18) and I have never looked back.
Over the years I have put in a lot of volume into poker and I have experienced multiple periods of ~200 buy in downswings. Initially the downswings really took their toll, but as time went on I developed better strategies with dealing with them.
Just recently I went through another 200 buy in downswing and realised I wasn't really bothered by it, where initially I was ready to throw my computer out the window. I thought long and hard about this and decided to make a video on my coping strategies during a downswing and wanted to share it with others, so they too are able to have a more positive outlook on downswings and hopefully get out of the hole faster.
Anyway I hope you enjoy this video and if you are interested in future videos/different topics let me know and I will be happy to make more with what I know!
