Mental game leak playing vs crushers/pros Mental game leak playing vs crushers/pros

I am looking to fix this mental game leak/ psychological problem where if i am playing vs a pro/crusher i tend to play different, give them too much credit and have too much respect for their game. I know that i play worse when thinking like this. It's similar to where amateurs give Phil ivey and pro's walks in big tourneys because of their presence and well known poker success.

LlinusLlove talks about it in this interview https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMKEBFXOOPA

where he says the toughest part was going from 10/20 to 25/50 where he would face the 'big boys' and he goes on to say that at first he was quite respectful of their games and he 'was' held back by the big names however he goes on to say that 'was' what was holding him back however he managed to fix this mental game leak and break through to playing high stakes.

Does anyone know how to describe this psychological problem/leak and any solutions to help solve it as i definitely would play a lot better giving less respect to crushers

stick to basics and remember most of your money is coming from recs/fishes/ fun players whatever you call them. And if you don't find any at your table, table has no value and switch to table that has em.

your 'psychological problem' prolly stems from the skill difference between you and the pro. unfortunately there's no shortcut for that , you'll have to study and play and gain those skills and you'll come to the conclusion that the 'pro' is just another player and your deviation from standard against them does more harm than good.
