I am back from a length break from the pokers and I feel that my different way of viewing life is something that can be applied to poker.

What matters is right now, and if we have that mindset any previous occurences are not worth the hassle caring about. Accept whatever happened previously and just go on, there is no way to change the run out. All you can do is playing at your best abilities and what then matters is the next hand that is in front of you and only that.
Take a couple of deep breaths and anchor yourself back to the moment when you feel that you are stuck.

I'm not saying that you shouldn't think back on strategies or lines, that's completely fine but dwelling on things that are in the past is to absolutely no help.

Accept the outcomes at all times, don't dwell on what you could or should have had. Instantly accept any inconvenience and don't let it bother you. By doin this instantly you save yourself a lot of pain.

"If only I would have won that flip"
"If only the river wasn't a diamond"
"If he wouldn't have called"
"Oh I wish he would have called"

These are all non constructve thoughts which have nothing to do with the present. By thinking this way you are stuck in time, accept it and just let it be. If you played correctly you have done everything in your ability. Trust in your ability.

I guess this is all easier said than done, but try living in the moment when you play poker. And stay in the moment whatever the probability imps throw at you. Mindful poker is a good way to keep your emotions in check and will make you a more chill and relaxed person.

A great approach to have to poker

If you can develop a deep appreciation for this not just verbally or through intelligence but actually in practice, as best you can, then the real benefits are uncovered.

The challenge really lies with being incredibly aware of the differences between psychological thinking and "solving poker" thinking & the changing states of mind that occur with playing poker.

Not only is this the way to play poker, but to live life.
