I feel cold and I shake before starting a session

Hello everyone,

Since I first started playing poker I've always had this kind of "weird behavior" before starting a session: I feel cold (even if it's very hot outside, I take a sweater on) and I somehow shake. All of this will end 10/15 minutes after the session started.

Has anyone experienced something similar? It's like I am afraid of playing, but I don't now why since I'm not a losing player.

my grandpa was a SEAL in 'nam he said that every time his huey would dump him off in a rice patty somewhere he'd be afraid /have to go to the bathroom/ get shaky, and that moments like that are what define a man. and that even tho he was afraid, he was never SCARED.
fear is normal, being SCARED is when it affects what you do. killin a man is an adrenaline rush, its when you stop feeling that adrenaline that you gotta worry, bkuz it means youre desensitized to it
so yeah its ok to be nervous, push yourself through it and just like killin charlie, you may even come to crave that feeling bkuz its the only thing that will make u feel alive

there's a lot of warrior wisdom in it. ur experiencing a fear response. just push thru it and eventually you'll get desensitized to it n become a man. just like me

Just ignore his post. It sounds either like he's quoting some war movie or there's some kinda meds he's either taking too much of or not enough of.

I sometimes get anxious of playing. It never stops me anymore, but it used to. Now I just say it out loud, and it seems so silly and that feeling dissipates.

Just nerves that'll go away once you settle in. Buy in and fold the first few hands unless you get KK / AA.

I think it is important to put things in perspective and think about what is the worst thing that can happen?

- You can get hit by a car on the way to the casino and be instantly killed
- You can have a child get born with Down's syndrome that will require a lot of care for the rest of your life

On another hand when you sit at a poker table (assuming you play 1 2 or something along those lines), the worst thing that can happen is you lose couple hundred bucks. Compared to the scenarios above, that does not seem so bad - right?
